The air conditioning system failed due to recurring evaporator leaks in my 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback. The evaporator is available for inspection upon request.AC failure causes interior fogging in humid/rainy conditions, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk.

Extreme sensitivity results in the slightest pressure, without the owner being aware, activating the car trunk, and the trunk will open and remain open until the owner or someone closes it.

The AC condenser, compressor, blower, & evapoartor core all broke down. After repair, I’m still receiving a “fog horn noise” audiable sound. This is dangerous as I have no A/C in the hot summer.

Pre-incident.... Improper weather stripping around both front and back windshield hold water on seams around installed windows. This results in air bubbles separating the glass from the glue seam and rubber seats.

My AC system would not blow cold and the blower made a noise. Dealer replaced condenser under extended warranty in May 2023. Same problem is occurring now less than 9 months later. Recently moved to Florida where air conditioning is a must have. Taking car to dealership tomorrow. Bottom line - Honda replaced original faulty condenser under warranty last year but unit has failed again.

Unsure of when happened but CVT filler cap keeps blowing out for no reason causing transmission fluid to leak every where.

I am adding to the long list of duplicate AC complaints. I had cold air on the passenger side and hot air on the driver side. I brought in my vehicle to the dealership in response to two AC component recalls.

For several months, I was facing an issue with being able to lock and unlock my car properly. You could hear the mechanisms in the car trying to respond when I would press my key fob or the buttons inside the car but the locks themselves would not move. I would either need to use my physical car key to manually lock or unlock the door.

AC component: Condenser and Evaporator (issue is systematic as it's creating issues to Freon) Current RECALL is only for Condenser but it's systematic to Evaporator (faulty part that has failed); I believe Honda is circumventing the cost to repair and is revealing only condenser part failure vs taking ownership on full AC component (if one fail the other will too).

While driving down the highway we heard a horrible grinding sound. We pulled over and looked under the car. The engine sheild was dragging.

AC does not work! It only blows hot air. It gets very hot in the car, even with all the windows rolled down. Also, gas cap is broken. Does not close all the way and sticks out. So therefore it no longer locks. Thought my gas was possibly getting stolen, but there was no changes to my gas.

The AC is not working, I took it to a repair shop and they replaced the air conditioner. They charged $1800. Under the 6 month warranty I took it back because it was not cooling, the repair shop said the car had little holes near the condenser which drained out the Freon, they filled it again with Freon

On 7/8/2021 after the repair was completed, the tech mentioned that even after they replaced the condenser there was still a leak in the compressor and we need to get that replaced as well.

Honda gives the condenser problem a extended warranty, yet they are not addressing the EVAP leak as their faulty. This EVAP leak is apparent to civic owners and they need to take the full responsibility for the malfunction. I drove over 3 years with less than 20,000 miles on the car, which should not have the a/c problem.

I received a letter from honda, stating that the a/c condenser on my 2017 civic was not manufactured to specification, which may allow refrigerant to leak out. The letter then states if the a/c does not blow cold air, to take the car to the dealer for a repair at no charge.

A/c condensor has manufacturer defect. This VIN is not included in the extended warranty detailed here a/c has been recharged with refrigerant, which continues to leak. The part has no external impact damage,!only the manufacturer defect tears.

6 weeks ago the air conditioner/windshield defogger stopped working in my 2017 honda civic that I purchased new with a 7 year/120000 mile warranty. I STEP ON THE BREAK AND SHIFT TO REVERSE AND NOTICE IT TAKES ABOUT A SECOND TO A SECOND AND A HALF TO FEEL THAT THE CAR HAS ENGAGED. As I was pulling out of my driveway at night (the car had been sitting there all day), I heard a crackling sound and noise coming out of the rooftop. I stopped right away, got out of the car to see a big hole in the center of the moonroof glass panel. The glass fell on the on the inside roof slider (which luckily was closed).

Flashing flickering entertainment system. The system has also reset itself 2 times while in operation again flashing and flickering. The sound cuts out as well while this happens.

Came out to a dead battery, despite the battery being less than four months old. On one occasion, I came out to the vehicle with the windows rolled down. On another occasion, I was told there was an issue with the anti-theft system.

The paint started to fade and turn white 3 1/2 years ago. Called Honda and they said they were aware of the paint failure but my color did not have many with that issue and they could not do a recall on my color. Been fighting them for over 3 years and not I have several body parts that are having paint failure

My white paint is peeling really bad all over the car and it’s a 2017 Honda civic Lx. Clear coat is coming off along with original base coat. Starting to get rust and this car is not that old.

Paint is completely flaking off down to the metal along the edges around the rear window on roof, driver quarter panel, and passenger quarter. It has been flaking for 2 years now. I bought the car in 2017 brand new.

It is unsafe to be driving my younger siblings and nephew in this hot weather, My vehicle is a salvage so “it wasn’t applicable for me to get the recall” but I believe that shouldn’t matter Honda purposely knew their were defects in the AC but yet do not want to own up to it and fix it.

AC in my 2017 honda civic only blows hot air or times cold air in some of the vents and hot in others

Car is under warranty. Driver side AC blowing hot air all the time. Infinite people have same problem defective for all honda civic

Travelling to work in a highway of speed around 75mph all of sudden heard a huge sound. Got scared and pulled over, to my shocking the car moonroof was shattered

Honda civic 2017 model uses new compressor to go with new refrigerant and seems to stop working without any reason. There has been no damage done to the car to stop the compressor from working, usual maintenance is kept up with the car. The car is 2 years old and should not have an issue with the compressor for no reason.

AC line was never connected from the factory with built. Caused excessive water and passenger side floor board and caused mold on the carpet

TPMS light comes on when tire pressures are ok. Light comes on in dashboard after recalibating per owner's manual and after driving about 40 miles.

The head rests are angled so far forward that it is causing me some severe neck pain. Only had the car for 3 months.
