Engine began to have an odd stutter and trouble accelerating which was initially believed to be spark plugs after a full tune up did not fix the issue took to my local mechanic. Diagnosed the issue as bad fuel injectors likely due to the fuel pump recall. Code popped up as cylinder misfire initially which didn't make much sense considering a full tune up was completed less than a month prior.

Your 2019 Honda Accord's head gasket failed, allowing coolant to leak into the engine cylinder. Two separate inspections confirmed the problem — one by an independent Honda specialist and another by an authorized Honda dealership. Honda's internal memos from 2023 and 2024 show the company was investigating this same failure across 2018-2022 Accord 1.5L models, but no recall has been issued. Fixing this will require replacing the head gasket and related engine sealing components.
