2019 Honda Accord Brakes Problems

I bought this car used in August 2022. September 2022, I paid for diagnostics because every warning light was on. They returned the car and the warning lights were clear.

I was driving on the freeway going around 50 MPH and out of nowhere the car slammed on brakes so hard that it slammed me in my seat. No cars were in front or behind me. So there were no accidents that occurred from this incident.

IT JUMPED THE CURB, WENT OVER WIDE SIDEWALK, TRAVELED THROUGH A BRICK WALL ANCHORING A HUGE STORE WINDOW, AND THEN WENT CRASHED THROUGH THE HUGE WINDOW. THE HONDA FINALLY STOPPED AFTER IT HAD COMPLETELY ENTERED THE STORE. FORTUNATELY, NOBODY WAS INJURED. WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THIS. IT SEEMS THAT SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THE SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE HONDA. WE FELT THAT IT WAS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY HONDA IN HOPE OF PREVENTING A FUTURE TRAGEDY. Received "collision mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer." error messages no less than 5 times. The 2019 accord touring has roughly 5k miles.

My 2019 honda accord, purchased new july 25, has 2365 miles on it. Twice very early in my ownership of the car the collision mitigation braking system (cmbs) activated with no cars in front of me. I forgot about the problem as it did not repeat itself until three incidents 9/11 and 9/12 2019.

Applying brakes gives a non-linear response that makes it difficult to brake smoothly and safely. Applying the brakes results in varying responses that appears not to brake and then suddenly grabs. I suspect that there is either air in the system or part failure of the brake booster or master cylinder.

Rear passenger side outside brake pad wear out much faster than the other 7 brake pads on the car. It worn out completely at 33k miles and the rotor and brake pad was metal on metal, because of this both had to be replaced.

I purchased my honda accord sport last month and had no issues 5,000 miles on it. But as I've been driving it the brakes are not operating as they should way too sensitive and is not a smooth process as it should be the slightest pressure makes it jolt forward. On idle my rpms start to lower then go up I don't believe this should be happening.

30636 miles currently, just took my honda to dealer to get recall and they did a mpi and said my rear brakes are at 2 mm. The accord is pretty much highways driven and shouldn't need rear brakes this soon.

At 25,000 miles, took car in for routine maintenance, recall 20-039, acc malfunction, and hazard mitigation warning light on dashboard. During inspection on vehicle by technician, was found that front brakes were at 7 mms and rear brakes were at 0 mms. Rear brake pads were completely worn down and rotors were rusted and beyond any repair.

On 02/06/2021, after entering a gated residential community, the car suddenly brakes for no reason. No other vehicles or pedestrians were on the road. Weather was overcast.

WHEN THE CAR IS IN DRIVE AND YOUR FOOT IS ON THE BREAKS,SO YOU ARE STANDING STILL, YOU CAN FEEL THE BREAK PEDDLE LOOSE PRESSURE AND THE BREAK PEDDLE GOES FURTHER DOWN. ALSO, WHEN BREAKING AT SLOW SLOW SPEEDS, IT FEELS LIKE IT STOPS GRABBING THE ROTORS AND YOU NEED TO PUSH FURTHER DOWN ON THE BREAKS.

BRAKES ENGAGE RANDOMLY DURING NORMAL DRIVING. BRAKE SYSTEM LIGHTS COME ON. PROBLEM APPEARS RANDOMLY AND IS DIFFICULT TO REPRODUCE. NO SERVICE CODES ARE STORED SO SERVICE TECHNICIANS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM

When I brake from a speed of 30-40 MPH, the pedal feel is not smooth throughout the braking motion. First, I start to brake but I do not slow down, only when I press even harder does the brake engage but at that point it is a heavy brake make the car lunge forward. Basically the brakes only engage when I press harder on the pedal but doing so makes the braking not smooth.

The automatic braking system will alert/engage when going down hills, despite there being no traffic in the road. The blindsplot warning will also alert when there is no traffic.

While driving with girlfriend. On a 30 MPH street,in Avon,Mass. Suddenly my car brakes In gaged, with Bright “Brakes” on dashboard.

Rear brakes have been changed out 3x since 2019 car only have 60k miles . Vehicle have been worked on by Honda there’s nothing they can do but replace the brakes and charge me since it’s an “Wear and Tear” component.

The automatic break system activated for a fraction of a second several times, the breaking system alerted in the dashboard. The vehicle has not been addressed. It cause a scary reaction of driver.

My rear brakes are bad at only 27000 miles. Front brakes are good. The same happened with my 2016 accord.

This happens in weather below 40 degrees fahrenheit, after driving, then parking for mere minutes, even when the car is still running. Many sources this is due to the master cylinder not having enough pressure to relax the caliper.

I was driving for abou 10 min I can see smog coming out of brakes and a message on screen saying brake problems so I stoped the car and I can see the rotors seem to be very worn out I believe it's something with brake pads
