2019 Honda Accord Collision Avoidance Problems

Travelling at approximately 47 MPH, with nothing in front of me, the car's emergency braking system engaged completely unexpectedly, slamming my car to a stop. This caused a pick-up truck, to hit me from behind. The emergency brake light appeared at the exact same time as the car's emergency brakes applied.

Driving my 2019 Honda Accord on major Interstate at night when car suddenly brakes hard at 75 MPH with no other vehicles or oblects around. The car's AEB/CMBS systems were on at the time of the hard breaking which occured twice with 3 minutes of each other. I was fortuanate no vehicles were behind us because we could have been seriously rear ended.

My Honda Accord has randomly started breaking by itself. I was not pressing the brake just the gas as I was driving and it wouldn’t go as I pressed the gas again . The dash flicked off and came back on and it allowed me to go as I pressed the gas .

Today, April 23, at around 12 pm, I was driving through my neighborhood, on a straight line at about 25 mhp with clear view no obstacles in sight keeping my foot on the gas pedal, when suddenly the car applied the emergency breaking, with flashing indication on the dashboard that said BREAK. It was a very rough yank. It's something I would expect at a near collision situation.

In 2 instances the car put on brakes for no reason. Nothing was in front of car. I was traveling roughly 70 MPH and car slowed down and brake indicator came on, also going 75 with cruise control on and the system that brakes the car slowed the car down and then just quit working.

Every light on my dashboard came on at once. I took it to a Honda dealership for a diagnostic check and they said it was my turbo but every light is still on.

All warning lights come on and engine lags. Lights come on every time and lags about every 10th time driven.

On Thursday November 16th at around 8:00 am I was driving down La Cienega Blvd going around 30-40 MPH. On 11/30/21, I was driving approximatley at 25 MPH when my car suddenly came to a complete stop for no apparent reason. My foot was on the accelerator, an orange warning on the dash flashed and my head and neck snapped. This is the third incident this year.

My car is unexpectedly braking on the highway for no reason which is an extreme harzard. It has happen over 6 times while driving unexpected. on diffrent times while on the highway and while on the regular streets at diffrent speeds.

I was driving 40 MPH on a street when the car's break suddenly went on and the car stopped. There wasn't another car in front of me, no animals or birds were crossing my path, the car just braked and then stopped. The car then started moving again after I pressed down on the accelerator.

It happens way too often, but my automatic emergency braking will brake randomly. Several times I’ve almost been hit by a car behind or in front of me. I also notice when the sun hits the vehicle in front of me just right it will do my automatic braking even when I am not close to the vehicle.

Driving 70 MPH down 1-70 in MO. And the car self brakes down to 40 MPH in a matter of a second and nothing in front and thank God nothing in the rear of us this has happened 3 times total and is a wreck about to happen

Braked auromatically on highway at 65mph due to flying bag in front of car. Very dangerous! Thank God no one was behind us.

I was driving on part of the highway when the car suddenly braked on its own. Cruise control was not on. I was not close to any other vehicles in front of me.

I would like to add a comment on the "phantom braking" as I have experienced it with my car several times. I am glad to see a formal investigation has been launched. I think a way to try and replicate this issue is to attempt to pass another vehicle (that is in the adjacent lane) BUT ensuring you are doing this on a curved road way.

Car braked for no reason. There was no car in front of me that would require AEB to activate. Don’t know reason why.

On at least 2 occasions the AEB was triggered when there was no object or vehicles present in the lane. The first observed incident occurred while on a highway onramp, the road in front was empty when the brakes suddenly engaged violently. The second incident happened on the highway.
