2017 Honda Accord Backup System Problems

Backup camera is not working properly. Camera is foggy and not producing a clear picture. Yes this problem has been confirmed by a Honda dealer.

The backup camera on this vehicle stopped working during the summer of 2021 with fewer than 15,000 miles on the vehicle. The failure of the camera was noted on an invoice for an oil change dated July 1, 2021, which I have retained should you want it. At the time, I learned that about 600,000 Hondas from the next two model years had been recalled because of a defect with the backup camera.

The rear backup camera does not work when the vehicle is put into reverse. The screen goes black and only shows the grid lines of the backup camera viewing area.
