2015 Honda Accord Electrical Problems

In 2017, my vehicle was part of a Honda recall for the battery sensor. I had the recall service completed at Colerain Honda in Cincinnati, OH. Honda marked recall repair as completed in 2017, but the same defect has been ongoing since 2021 through today.

I’ll start by saying my car is impeccably maintained at the Honda dealership! I have reached out to Honda and even emailed the hard of Honda motor corp in Japan and my cars problems. In the last 16 months my car has trouble starting , failed to start on several times , and for [XXX] reason the battery charging issue light comes on , as well as forward control warning light .

Problems began at 50,000 miles and now at 60,000 a year and 1/2 later they are ongoing . Electrical and engine …. Honda knows all the problems bless I am having are in many of their models!

Took my sister to a car dealership to look at a car and had my car running for a couple of hours due to me having kids and it was hot out. The right rear door does not open with the remote, or with the lock/unlock inside button or manually. The system is frozen on that side creating a very dangerous situation for my children that have to travel in the rear seat. There is no way to open the rear door in case of accident/fire or any other emergency.

6/24/2022 I was driving my 2015 Honda Accord with 65k miles when the car had no power, unable to accelerate, and limited steering. The following warning lights went on : Malfunction Indicator Lamp, Vehicle Stability System Indicator, Electric Power Steering System Indicstor, and Low Tire Pressure indicator (new tires last week).

I received the notice of the recall for the battery sensor and took the car in august but the dealer said that they didn't have the part. Next maintenance in november I reminded them of the recall on the battery and they gave me the temporary fixing. Shortly after this the battery started to fail.

I was informed of a recall affecting the battery/charging system of the vehicle. The mentioned issue already caused my battery to fail as well. When I took the car in for the repair the battery sensor was replaced free of charge.

My issue is I purchased the vehicle from the honda dealership and without any disclosed information, did they say anything about my vehicle being on recall. Also I drove out of the dealership told that my car passed the inspection but then told me I have to go get it inspected. My vehicle failed the inspection after I was told that it passed when it was at the dealership.

2015 has a bad ABS Modulator fail (Solenoid valve). My car only has ~75k miles. It seems this is a common error with 2010-2015 Honda Accords and presents a safety concern.

My car will randomly say check charge system. I have got my battery and alternator both tested and they're both at Perfect working capacity I Google the problem and I found out there has been a recall in the past on the same issue with 2013 to 2016 models.

My 15 accord exl v4 is about 5 years ago and 68k. Start having issue to start the car. Push the button and break, car doesn't start.

At 52k miles, engine will not crank when key is turned. After several attempts, engine will finally crank and then will start as if nothing were wrong. Happens at least once in every 3-4 times starting engine is attempted.

The cars radio randomly reboots and freezes while in use and driving. Calls will drop, display will blank, and reset itself. There are times when we have to park the car, power it off and restart to clear the issue.

I drove my car for 10 minutes and then stop at the gas station to put some gas then after I tried to turn it on again but my car will not start and then after waiting for more than 30 minutes he did finally start but all the lights were still on then I drove it for another five minutes and stop the car to park and then wait for five minutes and then the car start again but the lights were off this time I'm not sure if this is safe but it's been doing this for more than three times already I don't know what to do.

My battery is experiencing an electrical shortage every time I start my car, when I tap the battery channels the car starts again and I have to reprogram due to shut down. It has continue to happen as of july 15,2019.

On going starting problem. For the last several month every time in the mornings it hesitate to start. Sometime it take seven or more try to get the car started by putting in to neutral, turning the steering wheel, pump the brake etc.

The car was parked and would not start.. The dash board did not light up. I opened the access panel on the gear shift and put the key in and the car started after 2 attempts.

The starter grinds at startup.

The 12-volt battery sensor caused my battery to overcharge and spill out most of the battery acid and corroded the cables. The sensor failed to alert me of the battery's state of charge and and now I have a dead battery. Honda of morgan hill will not replace my battery even though it was cased by the faulty sensor.

Condenser fin defective advised that the condenser fin was damaged from a rock the seat belt locks up, the alternator is causing the battery not to charge, the paint is chipping

The trunk on my car automatically opens so I have to pull over and close the trunk. I have noticed that usually this happens when I am leaving my house so I believe there is a defect in the automatic trunk opening feature on this car. I back out of the drive way and after driving for 1/2 a block or 1 block the trunk open light comes on.

Initial use of the automatic air conditioning system puts the passenger cabin into "air recirculation" mode in order to bring the temperature down as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it will not turn air recirculation off until the interior air temperature has reached the temperature asked for. This can take a long time.

I purchased this vehicle about 3 months ago. Honda states that the text messages will display on the honda display as a hands free use. However, I have not been able to use this function.
