Your rear lights have stopped working completely — you have no parking lights, tail lights, or brake lights in the back. This is a safety concern since other drivers won't be able to see your vehicle at night or when you're braking. The fix will likely involve checking the wiring, fuses, and bulbs in your rear light assembly.

I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding the recurring issues with my 2024 Denali 6.2, which has been subject to multiple service visits since reaching 7,000 miles. Despite these visits, the underlying problem remains undiagnosed and reoccurs shortly after I retrieve the vehicle. Following the second oil change, the engine developed a persistent ticking noise. Over the past 13 month, I have invested over $200,000 with your dealership in the past 5 years!. My truck was recently held for two weeks for service. After I lodged a complaint, the General Manager suggested I seek service elsewhere. This recommendation was made after I responded to an email stating that, following the completion of repairs to the headliner, third brake light, and brakes/rotors, I would no longer be utilizing Crain's services. The headliner sustained water damage due to improper installation by your technician, and fingerprints were also evident. I firmly believe in transparent communication regarding service progress, which was notably absent in this instance. Both the General Manager and Service Manager deferred responsibility, instructing me to contact GM directly, only for GM to inform me that direct contact was inappropriate. This resulted in a continuous cycle of unaddressed concerns with the service manager. Currently, I am operating an $80,000 vehicle that has incurred damage from a technician and exhibits a ticking engine. Furthermore, the driver's side mirror, which was previously replaced due to shaking at highway speeds, is now exhibiting the same issue, despite a technician's assertion that this is normal. I also note that my brakes, with over 89% remaining, are beginning to squeak, which your team claims is normal. This assessment is difficult to accept.

The backup camera in the dark on this vehicle is unusable. Someone will eventually run someone over. I have added brighter lights everywhere on the back of the vehicle and the camera is still useless at night. The dealer told me it looked fine to them (they checked it in a lit garage). There are hundreds of complaints across all forums.

On August 3, 2025 I was on the road enroute to my residence. With no warning my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT engine quit. We heard a popping sound and the entire vehicle shuddered. I took safe control of the vehicle. As I intervened I noticed that the dash warning lights were lit. Almost immediately the warning lights went off and the engine restarted on its own. We were startled and extremely concerned about what had just happened. This was the first problem we encountered with the truck. I contacted the DeLuz Chevy garage in Hilo for a follow-up appointment.

When in a dark area with little to no lights the backup camera is unusable. The taillights/reverse lights do not put off enough light to provide the camera with the lighting it needs to see behind the vehicle in dark situations. If I am in an urban area with a lot of light pollution the camera works fine, but not when I am in a rural are with no lights.

The reverse lights don’t illuminate camera when you’re in a dark parking lot or area. If and when camera is relied on for reverse, you wouldn’t be able to see a person or anything else. It’s a lighting problem. When you are in an area that is lit (dealer parking lot) you can see fine. I also own a 2014 Chevrolet and camera works fine in dark and lit areas.

Back up camera is almost useless in very dark situations. Back up lights on vehicle wash out the view and all you can see are the red marker lines. Needs either brighter back up lights or a better camera definition. You cannot see a children's bike or other things while trying to back up.

The reverse or backup lights do not properly illuminate, as the angle does not allow for viewing dangers behind at night. The lights are angled to aim way too high, and the lights are aealed. No way to adjuat. An adult standing just three to five feet behind truck, the lights illuminate at chest level, meaning a small child could not be seen at all, even with the rear view camera. Speaking of the camera, it not longer displays low light situations. People are going to be injured or killed because of these lights, or lack thereof of. On researching, this is a known defect since GMC went to LED tailings in the 2024 1500. This problem was not in my 2024 3500 as they use different lights. This is a dangerous situation.

The reverse lights and high-definition camera system are woefully insufficient for backing up this truck safely in the dark. I have experience several near-misses due to the poor nighttime performance of the video system and reverse lights. This has been ongoing since the vehicle was purchased new. It impacts both the video displayed in the main touchscreen and the video rear view mirror. Furthermore, the reverse lights are sealed LED units that are non-serviceable.

The backup camera is useless at night. When backing up at night the camera is so dark you cannot see more than a foot or two behind you. If someone or something is behind you you will never see them before it’s too late. The camera is supposed to be a safety feature! I talked to the dealer service department about this and they said it’s a design flaw with GMC and nothing they could do. I Also looked online and see several people complaining about the same thing. This truck has as of today 268 miles on it. I called GMC help center and just got the runaround telling me I would have to go back to the dealer for them to fix the problem even after telling them several times that the dealer said nothing they could do it’s a design flaw with GMC. I believe GMC should be made to do a recall and fix this safety problem.

At night, when put into reverse, the exterior reverse lights do not illuminate enough to safely use the rear view mirror or backup cameras to safely navigate in reverse. I have owned a new vehicle every other year for many years and I have never experienced this any any other vehicle. I am going to look at aftermarket lighting options to be used when in reverse. This is a very big miss and safety concern on any new vehicle now days, let alone on a $80,000 pickup truck.

Extremely poor rear camera quality at night. Common complaint on GMC and Chevy 2023/2024 models. Unsafe to reverse at night due to poor camera image quality. Cadillac has already issued a recall on their units which are identical to the GMC and Chevy. Many posts on Facebook gmc at4 and Chevy zr2 owners groups about the safety issue
