Your driver's seat moved backward while you were driving and is now stuck in that position, making it difficult to reach the pedals and steering wheel. This is a significant safety concern since you cannot adjust the seat to a comfortable driving position. The seat track mechanism may need to be repaired or replaced to restore proper adjustment.

Your dashboard airbag warning light came on, and the dealer found that a weight sensor bar in the passenger seat is causing the issue. This sensor is supposed to detect whether someone is sitting in the seat and adjust airbag deployment accordingly. The dealer quoted you over $750 to fix it but wouldn't confirm whether this is a safety-critical repair or just a warning light issue. Replacing the passenger seat weight sensor or the entire seat assembly may be necessary to resolve the airbag warning.

Your airbag warning light turned on just two days after your driver's side airbag was replaced. A dealer diagnostic found a wiring problem in the passenger seat area that would cost approximately $500 to access and another $500 to repair. You're concerned this is a safety issue that shouldn't be your responsibility to fix. Fixing this will likely require removing the passenger seat and seat covers to access and repair the wiring harness.

THE SEAT DOES NOT SUPPORT THE BACK BETWEEN THE HIPS AND THE SHOULDER BLADES UNLESS RECLINED, WHICH IS NOT A DESIRABLE DRIVING POSITION. THE ADJUSTABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT PUSHES ON THE TOP AND MIDDLE OF THE PELVIS AND RESULTS IN PINCHED NERVES IN THE BACK. THE SEAT CUSHION HAS VERY HARD, RAISED SIDES, THE ROOF OF THE CAR IS LOW AND CURVED DOWN ON THE SIDES, THE CAR IS LOW TO THE GROUND AND THE SEAT IS WELL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE END RESULT IS THAT IF I AM TRYING TO GET INTO THE VEHICLE AND MY HIP HITS THE SIDE OF THE SEAT INSTEAD OF THE SOFT PART IN THE MIDDLE, I PULL MUSCLES IN MY SIDE. THE ASSIST HANDLE IS NO ASSISTANCE AND IT IS ACTUALLY A HAZARD IN A ROLLOVER SINCE IT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES. IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO MY HEAD WITH THE POWER SEAT IN ITS HIGHEST POSITION (ABOUT THE ONLY POSITION THAT ALLOWS ACCESS TO THE PEDALS AND STILL PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THE THIGHS). I AM 5 FEET 11 INCHES TALL. I HAVE INJURED MYSELF SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO GET IN AND OUT OF THIS VEHICLE. *TR
