The contact owns a 2022 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the tailgate inadvertently opened and closed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
