NITTO TERRA GRABBLER. PURCHASED 4 TIRES ON 11/12/15. REAR PASSENGER TIRE FAILED / COMPLETELY CAME APART AND INTO TWO PIECES WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A TWO LANE ROAD (PCH) THE SAFETY BRAKE CABLE WAS ALSO DAMAGED. I WAS TOWED HOME. THE DEALER AND NITTO HAVE REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TIRE. INSTEAD OF KEEPING THE TIRE FOR INSPECTION, THE DEALER THREW THE TIRE AWAY. TIRE WAS GONE THE FOLLOWING DAY. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE TIRE. I WANT ALL THE TIRES REPLACED AS THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE HERE WITH THESE TIRES THAT COULD RESULT IN GREAT BODILY INJURY OR DEATH. NITTO TIRES HAVE BEEN RECALLED IN THE PAST DUE TO FAILURE.
I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK WHEN I HEARD A LOUD CLICKING NOISE . I ALSO NOTICED THERE ARE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS TRUCK . I RECENTLY BOUGHT IT AND I LOOKED ONLINE ALMOST EVERYTHING I SAW WAS BAD . THESE TRUCKS NEED TO BE REBUILT OR REPAIR RIGHT .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE SEIZED INTO FOUR WHEEL DRIVE AS THE SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 202,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE , AT ABOUT 65 MPH, WHEN IT SUDDENLY LOCKED. IT A 4 WHEEL DRIVE. I HAD THE 4 WHEEL SERVICE LIGHT BLINK AND THE IT SUDDENLY LOCKED AND COULDNT SHIFT GEARS. I HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED.
MY 2005 DURANGO STARTED THIS ABOUT 2 WKS AGO; SEARCHING OTHER FORUMS AND MY MECHANIC SEARCHED HIS SITES, IT'S MOST LIKELY AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE HAVING TO DO WITH THE AC SHORTING OUT VOLTAGE TO THE TRANSFER CASE...I AM SENDING A LETTER OFF TO DODGE CORPORATE AS THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE FROM OTHER DODGE DURANGO & RAM OWNERS, WHO LIKE ME, FEEL IT SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE. I AM NOT ABOUT TO BRING IT IN ONLY TO HAVE A MECHANIC "TRY" TO FIX THE ISSUE AND REPLACE THE WRONG PART SO I HAVE TO GO IN REPEATEDLY AND SPEND MONEY I DON'T HAVE UNTIL (IF EVEN) IT IS SOLVED. I WOULD RATHER TRADE IT IN FOR SOMETHING ELSE. HOPING BY SENDING A LETTER TO CORPORATE THEY WILL CONSIDER A RECALL NOTICE OR HELP ME TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE REAR WHEELS SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,420.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HAVING THE TIRES ROTATED, THE MECHANIC NOTIFIED HIM THAT THE WHEELS WOULD NOT MOVE AS A RESULT OF THE WHEEL NUTS BEING CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT IN ORDER TO REMEDY THE FAILURE THE WHEEL NUTS, AND WHEELS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 99,800.
