Hello. My complaint is on the motor mounts, the OEM factory/manufacturer ones that car dealers service/replace. Long story short, in 1 year and 3 months’ timeframe, my motor mounts have been replaced not once, nor twice, but THREE times. It runs the risks of damaging my motor/engine internally and is a safety hazard on the road. The first replacement (August 2023) was due to broken motor mounts and about 4-5 mounts got replaced. Eight months later (April 2024), the second incident was due to ‘faulty OEM parts’ quoted by my car dealer who services my vehicle. They replaced 2-3 mounts. This third incident (October-November 2024) is on a six-month old install, still oem parts. I had the left motor mount replaced after my engine started to sound like it was about to fall apart; hence, the safety risk of an engine failing, falling apart, or falling off/out the vehicle while on the road. After this third replacement, the dodge dealer recommended that I file a recall report because they were concerned about the risks and damage caused by all of the motor mounts my car has seemingly been violated from. When researching if this problem is just my car or not, I came across a dodge forum where MANY dodge dart owners of years 2013-2016 have had these motor mount issues. All have said that this should be a recall, and frankly I agree, because replacing motor mounts every 6-8 months is not only ridiculous, but concerning at the amount of risk. I did the math and in the span of 1.5 years and 12,169 miles, my mounts have been replaced at least three times by Laird Noller Ford AND Briggs Dodge. I attached all documents plus the carfax of one replacement that I couldn’t find the document. There is other parts damaged because of these motor mounts also pictured. When will it stop?

DODGE DARTS OF THIS MODEL YEAR INCLUDING MINE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE TURBOCHARGER. PROBLEMS WITHIN THE SETUP CREATE A "TURBO UNDERBOOST" CONDITION, WHICH PROMPTS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND THROWS THE CAR INTO LIMP MODE. THIS IS OFTEN ACCOMPANIED BY A LACK OF POWER FROM THE ENGINE AND A ROUGH IDLE, OR STALLING AT IDLE. IN MY CASE IT HAPPENED WHILE I LEAVING A CITY, AND I DID NOT HAVE THE POWER TO ACCELERATE TO HIGHWAY SPEED. AFTER PULLING OVER AND RE-STARTING THE CAR, THIS ISSUE IS TEMPORARILY RESOLVED. THIS IS SUCH AN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL YEAR THAT THERE IS A NORTH AMERICA WIDE BACK-ORDER ON THE NEW-TURBO WITH THIS ISSUE CORRECTED. FOR MANY LIKE ME, THIS EXPENSE IS OUT-POCKET OR FOR A LUCKY FEW, STILL COVERED BY FACTORY WARRANTY. I BELIEVE THAT THE FREQUENCY AND SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE WARRANTS A RECALL AND PROPER FIX IF THE TURBOCHARGER SETUP. THE ISSUE IS CORRECTED ON 2014+ MODEL YEARS, WHICH IS AN INDICATION THAT FCA WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE.

WHEN WENT TO GO GET CAR ON DATE WAS STATED WOULD BE READY WAS TOLD THE TIMING CHAIN WAS BROKEN, HOLE IN BLOCK AND 8 OUT OF 16 VALVES STUCK, NEEDING A NEW ENGINE. MILEAGE 45,900 THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE 11/14/2015 AND BEING TOLD WE HAVE NO CLUE WHAT CAUSED THIS AND WAITING FOR ENGINE TO ARRIVE WHEN WAS TOLD ENGINE WAS ORDERED ON SAME DATE OF INFORMING ME OF ISSUE.

I HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE AGAIN IN FEBRUARY OF 2015 BECAUSE MY VEHICLE TURNED OFF ON ME ONCE AGAIN WHILE STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON THE EXPRESSWAY. WHEN I TURNED ON MY VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. AGAIN, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS AGAIN HAVING THE SAME ISSUE FROM THE PREVIOUS MONTHS BEFORE. ONCE AGAIN I HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE ON MAY OF 2015 BECAUSE MY VEHICLE TURNED OFF ON ME FOR THE THIRD TIME WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT BUT THIS TIME MY VEHICLE STARTED TO SMELL LIKE IT WAS BURNING OIL. WHEN I TURNED ON MY VEHICLE, MY OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN MY CAR WAS BEING LOOKED AT, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE AND THEY ALSO STATED THAT " SOMETHING WORSE HAD TO HAPPEN TO MY VEHICLE FOR THEM FIX THE PROBLEM." THEY TEST DROVE MY VEHICLE AND THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE SO IT WAS RETURNED TO ME. SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE IF IT KEEPS ON SHUTTING OFF ON ME WHILE WAITING AT A RED LIGHT AND ALSO SMELLING LIKE BURNING OIL AND FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY CAR THIS LAST VISIT IS REALLY UPSETTING. ALL OF THESE SCENARIOS HAVE HAPPENED IN LESS THAN A YEAR OF PURCHASING MY VEHICLE.THIS IS VERY SCARY AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE THIS CAUSES A CRASH OR POSSIBLY DEATH! I STARTED HAVING HEADACHES SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE (2013 DODGE DART). THE HEADACHES CONTINUED TO WORSEN, SO I FINALLY WENT TO THE DOCTOR, HAD CT SCAN AND WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH HAVING MIGRAINES. I WASN'T AWARE THAT IT WAS THE CAR UNTIL IT WAS IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR FOR RECIRCULATING AIR ISSUES AND I DIDN'T DRIVE IT FOR A WEEK (DECEMBER 2014). ONCE WE RECEIVED THE CAR BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP (NOT FIXED) I WAS REALLY SICK (HORRIBLE MIGRAINE) THE NEXT DAY DUE TO THE FUMES. I HAVEN'T RODE IN THE CAR SINCE DECEMBER 19, 2014. I HAVEN'T HAD A MIGRAINE SINCE AROUND DECEMBER 20-21, 2014. THE CAR WAS DROPPED OFF ON JANUARY 2, 2015 BY MY HUSBAND BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TO HAVE THE RECIRCULATE AIR FIXED. THE VEHICLE WAS READY ON JANUARY 8, 2015 BUT WAS NOT PICKED UP UNTIL JANUARY 9, 2015. ON JANUARY 9, 2015, MY HUSBAND PICKED THE CAR UP AND DROVE IT AROUND FOR LITTLE WHILE. HE THEN WENT TO PICK OUR DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL AND SHE BEGIN COUGHING IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THE RECIRCULATE AIR WENT OUT AGAIN. I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THIS VEHICLE AND TO NO AVAIL. FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF MY CLUTCH HAS BEEN LOSING ALL RESISTANCE. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD AND AT TIMES I AM UNABLE TO PUT MY CAR INTO GEAR. SOMETIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE AT STOP LIGHTS OR EVEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC. EVERY TIME I TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AIM TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. EVENTUALLY THEY REPLACED MY CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO THE FIRST TIME. PROBLEM SEEMED TO RESOLVE THEN ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG. AFTER MULTIPLE TRIPS TO DEALERSHIP THEY FINALLY AGREED TO REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER AND DISCOVERED THE SLAVE CYLINDER IS LEAKING. VEHICLE BACK IN THE SHOP FOR THE PAST WEEK REPLACING SLAVE CYLINDER. ANY PERSPECTIVE DART BUYERS OUT THERE, I REALLY CAUTION AGAINST THIS PURCHASE. THIS IS ONLY ONE OF MULTIPLE ISSUES I HAVE HAD. ON A SIDE NOTE, I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN JULY 2012 WITH 120 MILES ON IT.
