Vehicle will cut off as if an electrical short and the Service Stabilitrak indicator will flash on the dashboard along with warning chimes. This has happened twice at highway speed (65mph) and several times at low speed (1st gear) especially while turning. The steering wheel locks and can not be turned.

My vehicle just randomly shuts off, mainly when making a turn. I took it in to the dealership and had several repairs made but none of them fixed the problem. It’s definitely dangerous I almost had a accident at least 3 times.

Vehicle entertainment center has intermittent issues with the hands free, bluetooth connection. The system reverts back to non hands-free operation or mutes the call randomly. The entertainment center also randomly scrolls, selects radio stations and changes modes when not in a call.

I turned on the rear defrost to the vehicle. Within about 30 seconds, I saw smoke rising from the center part of the rear window as if the defroster had started a fire. I immediately turned the rear defrost off and the smoke ceased.

The radio fail to provide audio warning when the key has been left in the ignition and the door is open-door when the driver does not fasten their seat belt ,driver is at greater risk of injury in a crash. Driver can't hear when the turn signal and radio when dead .

There was a hissing sound and smoke in the area of the rear power sliding window, I had read about this concern online and was able to shut my rear defroster off before it blew out the back window but not everyone is that lucky. Gm has a bulletin about a small water leak in the same area but does not acknowledge that it is related to the rear window shattering.

Entire instrument cluster went out while driving causing loss of needed information such as speed and other pertinent information. Dealer says there is a TSB that the entire truck has to be re-flashed including all modules in the vehicle because it does not recognize the instrument cluster. During this time, all safety systems flashed and appeared to be inactive.

3mos ago I had a fender bender in Mesa,AZ(my front end to pasenger side)her car was towed my wasn't for the next 28 days my truck was still driving just fine like nothing ever happened to it,at the end of the month my work was done so I drove bk to Cali and it was till the middle of April when this all started 2 months ago like normal I was getting an oil change from there I went home it was 5:30pm didn't go anywhere else that night ,the next morning I put my key into the ignition and it was completely dead, at first I thought it was the battery so I bought a new one, installed the new battery went on my way to run my errands 3hrs pass came home it was around 12:40pm,around 5:30pm I was planning on going to the grocery store went to start my truck wouldn't start truck battery was dead, nothing was left on no door was open no lights were on, so I towed it to my mechanic so he could put it on the scope to find out the general problem,called and told me that it was an electrical problem and my truck would have to be reprogram starting from the main chip in my transmission, going back in forth from my mechanic to the Chevrolet dealer in Victorville ca, it's still not in working condition yet and still trying to reprogram the last of these codes that keep appearing on the dash(2016 Chevy Silverado 6cyl 4door LT, never had any problems at all from the day I got it from the dealer back in 2019 of Mar, with reg oil changes, tune ups, ran like a brand new truck, very confused, upset, concerned about this matter, not to mention the cost for this, Sincerely [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C.

My local Chevy dealer has confirmed that the human machine interface (HMI) module has failed on my 2016 Chevy Silverado, causing the back-up camera to be inoperable. The camera is absolutely necessary at night when backing up due to window tinting and I believe this to be a safety-related issue. There currently is a nationwide back order on a replacement HMI module.

Truck turns off when going in reverse, sometimes when brake is applied, sometimes when turning left and when left turn signal is on. It usually happened when stopping at a traffic stop or light or when turning left. This time it turned off when changing lanes on the freeway and almost caused a pile up.

The reduced power indicator comes on. The code for this has been p2138 and it keeps saying it’s the pedal and I’ve replaced it twice and it seems to still come out. Looking over the internet it seems that this case has been experienced by so many people.

Rear Defroster malfunction. After starting the vehicle smoke was coming from the rear cab of my truck in the area that the power sliding window meets the rest of the rear window. In the same area, one of the metal strips for the defroster was glowing red hot.

2016 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab Standard Box A/C Condenser (GM Part Number 84802253) cracked at weld and failed at approximately 63,000 miles, resulting in refrigerant leaking to atmosphere and loss of cooling. The affected component is very similar to the TSB 17336 from GM on like vehicles. There were no warnings or indicators that signaled that this component had failed.

I made a turn at an intersection going 0mph to 10mph (low speed) and the engine shut down. Luckily I had a enough momentum to clear the intersection and not get t-boned. I was able to put the vehicle into neutral and start it again to drive off.

Happened 2x (3/15/18 & 10/31/18) in motion @ 70mph on highway the instrument cluster reset. Gauges dropped to 0, pegged out at top, then began reading properly, similar to the vehicle starting. All other screens went black and reset themselves.

The mylink infotainment systems keep glitching changing on it own. Gmc has this problems with several models of thier cars with the mylink system in it over the past few years and there has not been a solution to this problem. They either need to change the system to a newer updated model or come up with a solution.

This is a replica of that issue, but have thus far been told by GM corporate that vehicle is not eligible under the released customer satisfaction program.

"Trailer Brake System" (TBS) warning indicator malfunction. Out of nowhere the TBS warning message and chime started malfunctioning. The malfunction is irregular and often so frequent the vehicle is un-drivable.

Vehicle was stationary, in driveway of residence, running after being started with remote start. Temperature outside was about 35f. Front and rear window defrosters typically come on when the vehicle is remote started in the winter months.

The vehicle completely loses power for a split second. After this incident happens, the display says lower then raise the driver side window all the way. The ambient temp reading goes to 32 and displays warning possible freezing conditions.

I was attempting to open the door to remove my child, the door would not open.I then began to problem solve the issue and realized the rear passenger door does not lock with key fob or unlock manually or with key fob. The door will lock manually but I can not open the door from inside manually, it will not unlock from the drivers side control unlock, or with the key fob.

About 6 months ago now, under slow speeds and making a turn most of the time, my truck will shut down and jerk the wheel from my hands aggressively. This has happened about 20 times so far.
