TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE DRIVER'S SIDE ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MAT BECAME STUCK UNDERNEATH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FLOOR MAT CONTINUOUSLY SHIFTS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION, BUT THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 21,000. UPDATED 2/23/09 *CN UPDATED 02/26/09. *JB

THE AC CONTROL PANEL ON MY 2000 CHEVY MALIBU IS FAILING. IT IS CAUSING THE AC LIGHT AND COMPRESSOR TO TURN OFF. A INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THIS TO BE A COMMONLY REPORTED PROBLEM AMONGST MALIBU OWNERS. THE PANEL REQUIRES REPLACEMENT AND WILL COST $200 FOR THE PART PLUS LABOR. *NM

ANTI THEFT SYSTEM THAT IS INSTALLED IN MY CAR KEEPS GOING OUT. WHEN IT DOES GO OUT MY CAR WILL NOT TART AND I HAVE TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER SHIP TO HAVE IT EITHER REPLACED OR REPROGRAMMED. I JUST HAD IT IN THE SHOP ON 2-27-04 AND THEY SO CALLED REPROGRAMMED IT AND NOW ON 3-1-04 I WENT TO THE STORE AT 7 PM COME BACK OUT TO GO HPME AND MY CAR WILL NOT CRANK. IT HAS TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER SHIP TO BE SERVOCED AGAIN. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. IN THIS CAR. NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH OUT IT HAPPENING AGAIN.*AK
