While driving on the interstate, you heard a loud explosion and crackling sound from your sunroof. When you pulled over to investigate, you discovered a large hole had appeared in the sunroof glass, though your sunshade protected you from debris. The dealership couldn't find any external cause like rocks or debris, but Volkswagen corporate denied the warranty claim for the repair.

Your air conditioning system has had recurring problems. The blower motor was replaced in 2024, but in 2025 the A/C started making noises and working intermittently before stopping completely by September 2025. The repair will likely involve diagnosing why the A/C system is failing again—possibly the compressor, refrigerant lines, or electrical connections—and replacing or repairing the faulty component.

Severe oil consumption approximately every 2,000 miles the oil light comes on and I have to take it in. Had it serviced at 10,000 miles was told nothing was wrong. The oil light came on again after about 2000 miles from service. Have taken it for oil top off about 7 times approximately every 2,000 miles or so since purchased.
The cable for the Hood latch release has become separated/detached from the release Mechanism.
From a stop the vehicle has a dangerous delay. From the time the pedal is pressed until the vehicle moves it can be a second or even two. The delayed response has come close to causing me to be rear ended on multiple occasions.
While driving on the freeway, the overhead console fell down and hit my wife in the head, causing her to swerve. The console forcibly hit her but not cause any serious injury, however she was shaken up. Had she swerved and hit another vehicle or drove off the road is our concern, as this scenario may happen to others. When we spoke to the VW dealership where we purchased the vehicle, we were told that this type of incident has happened approximately 10-15 times to other vehicles. The service manager claimed that the affected vehicles were from the model year 2019 and 2020. When asked if there was a recall, we were told no, and that VW only replaces the affected console(s). The issue, as told to us by the sales manager is an “over torqued” screw(s), that when exposed to heat stress, cracks and causes the overhead console to fall. We were also advised to notify VW about the problem/incident.
On 2/8/2023 When starting my vehicle my digital instrument cluster did not display anything. (No Speedometer, tachometer, etc) While the cluster is not working, the Red "Level 1 Warning" light is displayed which tells you not to drive the vehicle. The issue was NOT resolved with restarting the vehicle, or letting it sit for several hours. The issue "self-resolved" the next morning and has not reoccurred (yet) I have noticed that on certain random starts the digital instrument cluster can take over 30 seconds to display any data. Bringing the Vehicle to the dealership, they found no codes indicating that the cluster/Digital Dashboard PRO did not function. The dealership said that they will not be able to diagnose the problem unless I bring it to them in the "unworking" state. However, the vehicle would be undriveable in that condition.
