AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2009-2014 Volkswagen CC, 2010-2014 Golf, 2010-2014 Eos, 2007-2010 Passat Sedan and Wagon, and 2012-2014 Passat vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
Fix: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator with an alternative inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 16, 2018. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69Q9. Note: This recall partially supersedes recall 16V-078.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Golf, 2007-2010 Passat sedans and wagon, 2012-2014 Passat sedan and Eos, 2009-2014 CC, 2009-2012 Audi Q5, 2010-2012 S5 Cabriolet and 2010-2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
Fix: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflators, free of charge. Volkswagen issued an interim notification to owners on April 12, 2016, and will send a second notification when parts are available. Volkswagen will notify owners again once parts are available. Volkswagen owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Audi owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.

Your check engine light is on and your intake manifold needs repair at a cost of around $1,400. You took your car to the dealership for a fuel pump replacement but weren't given proof it was actually done. Additionally, your side frontal airbag was never replaced, though the dealership said it wasn't necessary. You may want to get a second opinion from another mechanic about whether the fuel pump was truly replaced and whether the airbag should be replaced for safety.

TAMARA RECALL. ECP LIGHT COMES ON. THE CAR WILL STALL OUT. IF I LET IT SIT 5-10 MINUTES IT WILL START UP AND I CAN DRIVE FOR A WHILE, BUT IT'S STALLING OUT MORE FREQUENTLY. I AM AFRAID TO GET ON THE FREEWAY.
TAKATA RECALL- I WAS NOTIFIED BY TK HOLDINGS INC. THAT MY 2009 VW PASSAT SHOULD HAVE AIRBAGS REPLACED AS PART OF THE NATIONAL RECALL. I CONTACTED VW AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE MY AIRBAGS STATING THAT MY CAR WAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AN AIRBAG RECALL, BUT ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR A FUEL PUMP RECALL.
DEALER HAS NO REPLACEMENT PARTS TO FIX THE RECALLED AIR BAG.
TAKATA RECALL. AS OF FEBUARY 6TH THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED A FI FOR MY CAR AFTER 2 YEARS.
I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM WV IN APRIL 2016. IT IS NOT DECEMBER OF 2016 AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO ADDRESS THIS RECALL. IN ADDITION TO THE RECALL I DO HAVE THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON, IN THE DASHBOARD SIGNALING THAT SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ASAP. THANK YOU *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO AN UNKNOWN OBJECT IN THE ROAD. NONE OF THE FRONT OR REAR AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES FROM A BUMP TO THE FOREHEAD. ALSO, THERE WAS AN OCCUPANT IN THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT, WHO SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES TO THE BRAIN AND REMAINED HOSPITALIZED. A POLICE REPORT OF THE INCIDENT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED TO A IMPOUND FACILITY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. WHILE TURNING LEFT, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A BRICK PILLAR HOLDING UP A BUILDING. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE ALSO ACCELERATED TWO ADDITIONAL TIMES. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED HER TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,500.
