Initial call out for oil change and investigation of oil consumption and knocking from engine. Upon examination in person the timing cover was found to be heavily leaking and had pools of oil around the valleys that surround it.

Faulty started. Per your website, Volkswagen issued a recall for certain 2019 and 2020 Jetta models with traditional ignition keys(not push-button start) due to a faulty ignition switch that can cause the electrical system to shut down and the engine to stall, increasing crash risk. This recall, identified as Recall 23V-604 by NHTSA.

I have already submitted a complaint but today I am submitting another one because I see the vw 2019 jetta recall for ignition switch does not yet have a remedy and today I experienced my engine stalled and the engine light is currently on. This recall increases the risk of crashing which can cause harm and poses a threat to overall safety.

I previously filed a complaint, complaint number 11306864, with reference to my 2019 volkswagen gti autobahn, manual transmission, purchased as new on january 17, 2020, with reference to low-speed engine stalling. I have since discovered that my vehicle was reported to the NHTSA as repaired by vw service action code 24 fd, published on december 6, 2019.

2019 vw gli manual transmission stalls unpredictably when slowing down with the clutch depressed and/or the transmission in neutral. This has happened infrequently, but unpredictably. So far it has only resulted in horn blowing from the car behind, but if it were to happen when turning in front of oncoming traffic it would be very bad.

This is a brand new manual transmission jetta gli with only 160 miles. After driving for about 16 minutes at highway speeds on the expressway, the car quietly stalled out while coming to a stop on an exit ramp. I restarted the car, drove to a stoplight about a minute away and after coming to a stop at that light the car stalled again.

The car started making a rattle noise from inside the engine. Immediately stopped the car and contacted a mechanic , discovered that the bolts holding the cam shafts became loose and were hitting the timing belt cover. Upon further research, the dealer wasn't aware of said problem, however there are numerous VW customers experiencing the same problem.

I purchased 2019 Volkswagen Jetta RLine Turbo in 2022 with 30 something thousand miles with warranty. The car was and only serviced at Volkswagen dealership since purchased(oil changes, etc.). I contacted Volkswagen regarding the issue and provided NHTSA's campaign number of 23V604 for a recall on the 2019 Jetta's for ignition switch failure.

I took a car brand new 2019 after 5k miles light on display ' please check oil level' I went dealership and they told me when you lights its on stop here and we fuel it quarter oil...so now I see dealership every 5 k mile and every 10k mile when I change oil... When the vehicle is accelerating in either normal or eco mode, when it approached 28mph and shifts gears the engine makes a scraping/grinding sound. This happens consistently in the same driving session when accelerating with this gear change. This will happen on highways under rapid acceleration or on local streets under light acceleration.

On 9/26/2019 I was driving my 2019 jetta se with 1,187.8 miles on main street in santa ana around 5:50 pm. Check oil level light/warning bell came on. Let the car cool, went out to check the oil with the dipstick, was very little oil in there !went to the auto parts store , checked it again, and this time the oil was back. Car was ok for 2 days then light came on again.
