Our FAMILY car cannot be USED due to this air bag recall!! No one can sit in the front seat due to this issue, because may or may not go off in accident - Volkswagen has no solution other than, just don’t let anyone sit in the front passenger seat!! Thos vehicle has opened the rear hatch on two separate occasions, which was confirmed as an issue by both the local dealer, McLarty Volkswagen in North Little Rock, and Volkswagen Corporate. The airbag light is constantly on, and the parking brake may engage randomly.

Airbag error came on 4/22/22. I looked up issue and noticed a recall for 2020 and 2021 models and a secondary recall that will be issued in May 2022 that is for 2019++models.

I have an error for my passenger airbag sensor, it is the same error that is present on current recalled Atlas models from the same year that I have, however; my VIN is included. I would like some type of solution from the manufacturer to resolve this issue due to the current status and frequency of this issue on 2019 Atlas models

It has been over 9 months since VW issued a recall of the front passenger airbag. We were instructed not to use the front passenger seat. With children and sports equipment to haul around it is extremely inconvenient, bordering on making the vehicle obsolete with an inability to use the front passenger seat.

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding the current recall on this vehicle. This recall has been a known issue since March 29, 2023 and as of today's date there is no found resolution. The suggestion from VW is that no individual ride in the passenger front seat until the issue is resolved.

Unable to drive our family car due to the ongoing passenger airbag recall. VW has yet to come up with a resolution, but it is not safe for us to drive it with someone in the passenger seat. This problem is very frustrating and the delay in a solution should be unacceptable.

The passenger air bag system is failing, the suggested fix is to not have a passenger ride in that seat. But since we have 4 kids in car seats in the back and only have one car we have no choice but for one of us to Always ride in that seat and risk injury.

I have been waiting on VW to fix their PODS system recall for 6 months now. Our front passenger seat flips between not registering the airbags when a passenger is present, so thinking that there is a passenger seated when the seat is empty. They still tell me there is no fix for the issue and the only thing I can do is not utilize the front passenger seat.

The manufacturer has not provided a fix to the airbag recall in a reasonable amount of time. It’s been 3 months and my family is not able to ride in the front passenger seat which is a huge inconvenience for us. We’ve often had to take multiple cars because of this issue.

Volkswagen (VW) initially reported the fault in the wiring of the passenger airbag on March 29th. However, as of June 10th, 2023, they have not provided a remedy for this issue. This is concerning for me as I have a large family, and the need to use the passenger seat is necessary most of the time.

My vehicle is part of the recall for the passenger airbag and the airbag light on the dash is illuminated. There is still no remedy available and it has been almost 3 months. I am unable to use my passenger seat and feel like a fix has not been made available in a timely manner.

Receiving sporadic "Error: Air Bag" warnings this occurs whether there is or isn't an occupant in the passenger seat. It can occur 30 times a day or none for several days.
