Your air conditioning system produces a high-pitched whining or ringing sound that's distracting and irritating, making certain fan speed settings painful to use for extended periods. Other 2024 Corolla owners report the same issue, though Toyota has indicated this sound is characteristic of the vehicle. The sound appears to be caused by a component resonating at approximately 15.7 kHz. Fixing this would likely require Toyota to replace or redesign the component causing the resonance, possibly involving the air conditioning compressor, condenser fan, or related electrical components.
