When you use cruise control going downhill, your car accelerates to about 8 mph faster than the speed you set, and makes a loud grinding noise while doing this. You've noticed this behavior in your 2017 Corolla but not in other vehicles with cruise control. This may involve inspection or adjustment of the cruise control system and engine components that engage during downhill deceleration.

While at idle the rpm will drop down to 400 rpm with it almost stalling out the car. This has been a continuing issue with no real answers on why.
CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING. GAVE DTC P0113, P0013, P1603, P1605.
VEHICLE IN DRIVE STOPPED AND AT AN IDLE THE RPM WILL FLUCTUATE BETWEEN 800 TO 400RPMS ALMOST STALLING.
