Your car's white Blizzard Pearl paint is peeling and chipping off in large sections across the vehicle. The dealer told you a recall for this issue has expired and you'd need to pay for repairs yourself. The bare metal underneath is beginning to rust, which could eventually weaken the vehicle's structure.

Your car's factory paint is peeling and flaking off in large sheets down to the primer on your hood, fender, and door, even though there's no impact damage or scratches. This appears to be a defect with how the paint was applied at the factory rather than normal wear. The exposed metal underneath can rust and damage your car's value, and a Toyota dealership has visually confirmed the problem.

Starting in 2022, your car's front side panel paint began to bubble and peel off. Within a few months, the same issue appeared on the back hood, and by 2023 it spread to the roof. You've reported this to the dealership and Toyota multiple times since then, but the problem has gotten worse over time. The fix will likely require professional paint removal, surface preparation, and a complete repaint of the affected panels.

Your car's trunk lid paint is peeling off in large flakes, exposing the bare metal underneath. The white paint and primer layer have separated from the trunk, and pieces are coming off into the air. Your dealer says the warranty has expired and won't help. Fixing this will likely require sanding down the affected area, reapplying primer, and repainting the trunk lid to match your car's original finish.

I RENTED THIS CAR (TOYOTA COROLLA 2015) AND WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH ALL THE DETAILS. MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH MANY CARS OVER THE YEARS NEVER BROUGHT ME AN AWARENESS THAT THE TRUNK LID COULD POTENTIALLY DAMAGE MY HEAD, NECK, OR BACK IN A SEVERE AND POSSIBLY LONG LASTING WAY. I NATURALLY OPENED THE TRUNK LID, BENT IN TO PULL OUT MY BAG, AND WHAM! THE LID SLAMS DOWN ON ME.ONE OF THE MOST DAMAGING PARTS IS THE LATCH WHICH PROTRUDES PAST THE TRUNK'S EDGE AND FORMS A TRIANGLE SHAPE. THIS IS WHAT CONCENTRATED THE BLOW DIRECTLY INTO MY SPINE. I HAVE SEEN COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME PROBLEM, "TRUNK LID WONT STAY IN UPRIGHT POSITION" DATING BACK TO 2009. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN FIXED YEARS AGO BEFORE IT WAS ABLE TO INJURE ME? AND HOW MANY UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE TO BE INJURED IN THE FUTURE? THIS IS WHY I AM TAKING THE TIME TO EXPRESS MY ANGER, FRUSTRATION, AND DISGUST. PLEASE I AM CALLING THIS OUT, DO SOMETHING! TOYOTA DESERVES A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!
