EMERGENCY BRAKE STOPPED WORKING ON
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT STAYED LIT AFTER STARTING VEHICLE. BRAKES WERE NOT AS EFFECTIVE IN STOPPING VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE CHECK. DEALER STATES THE BRAKE BOOSTER HAS TO BE REPLACED AND THE ECU NEEDS TO BE REFLASHED. ERROR CODE C1141. WOULD NOT EXPECT THE BRAKE BOOSTER TO HAVE THIS SHORT OF A LIFE.
BRAKE BOOSTER - MY VEHICLE HAS 43,000 FOR 2015. ALL SERVICES ON MY VEHICLE HAVE BEEN WITH THE DEALER. BLAKE FLUID IS LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER CAUSING THE BRAKE MAINTENANCE LIGHT TO COM ON. THE BRAKE BOOSTER IS NORMALLY NOT A PART THAT SHOULD FAIL SO SOON.
BRAKE SYSTEM MAKES A LOUD 'CLACK' NOISE WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING IN REVERSE AND DRIVER APPLY THE SERVICE BRAKES PEDAL. TOYOTA DEALER STATED THAT THIS NOISE IS NORMAL. THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THIS SITUATION HAPPENS EVERY DAY INDEPENDENTLY OF HOW MANY HOURS OR DAYS VEHICLE BEING PARKED. NOISE CAN BE REPRODUCED ON PRIVATE GARAGE, PUBLIC ROAD AND OR HIGHWAY. THAT DISGUSTING NOISE IS ALWAYS THERE. TOYOTA IS NOT TAKING ANY ACTION ABOUT THIS... MAYBE THEY ARE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET HURT OR KILL DUE TO DEFECTIVE BRAKE SYSTEM.
I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT. MY CAR STOPPED BUT WOULD CREEP UP UNTIL I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES HARDER. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN A ROW WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE. I LOOKED AT MY DASH AND IT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM. I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. WHEN THEY TRIED TO DUPLICATE IT THEY COULD NOT. THEY PULLED THE INFORMATION FROM THE COMPUTER TO FIND OUT MY BRAKE BOOSTER HAD FAILED? THEY ARE UNSURE IF IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. I LOOKED UP ON THE INTERNET (NHTSA) TO SEE IF ANY OTHER 2015 TOYOTAS HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. IT SAID TOYOTA KNOWS ABOUT THE ISSUE YET THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH OF THEM HAVING THE ISSUE TO DO A RECALL. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! MY CAR HAS HAD ALL OF ITS REQUIRED MAINTENANCE.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 65 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND MADE A LOUD GRINDING SOUND. THE DASHBOARD FLASHED WARNING LIGHTS "BRAKE" AND A 2ND WARNING OF "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM". I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND CONSULTED THE MANUAL WHICH SAID STOP IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT TOYOTA DEALER, WHICH I DID. I TOOK THE CAR IN TO LIPTON TOYOTA, SUNRISE, FL (IT WAS NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE ON THE FREEWAY). BY THE TIME I REACHED THE DEALER THE BRAKE LIGHTS WENT OUT. THEY CALLED LATER AND INFORMED ME NOTHING WAS WRONG. I ASKED THEM TO RECHECK AS I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG SINCE THE BRAKE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND MADE A TERRIBLE NOISE. THEY KEPT THE CAR UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MORNING TO RECHECK THE CAR, AND AGAIN SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. IT HAPPENED TWICE ONE AT 22K AND ANOTHER AT 24K MILES
THE AUTONATION TOYOTA CERRITOS DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THERE WAS A LEAK BETWEEN THE FIRE WALL AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER. IT IS REQUIRING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AFTER ONLY TWO YEARS ON THE ROADS. THE MILES ON THE CAR ARE APPROXIMATELY 87,000 MILES. BUT SERVICE PERSONNEL SAID SHE HAS NOT SEEN A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH THE 2015 TOYOTA CAMRY.
OTHER DAY WHEN I CAME TO A STOP ON THE STOPLIGHT AFTER 2 SECONDS MY CAR START ROLLING SO I PRESS A LITTLE HARDER AND AFTER 2 SECONDS IT START ROLLING AGAIN SO I PRESS HARDER AND AFTER 2 SECONDS IT STARTED ROLLING SO I HAVE TO BE PRESSED FULLY TO THE BOTTOM FOR THE CAR TO STAY IN ONE SPOT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE APPROACHING A STOP WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO MOVE. THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HAD TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,450.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS APPROACHING A STOP AT AN INTERSECTION, THE BRAKES FAILED. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL EXCESSIVELY, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE IMPACT COLLISION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS OPERABLE AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS DEPOWERED AND RESTARTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,999.
I WAS DRIVING ON I35 NORTHBOUND AT SET SPEED LIMIT. SUDDENLY A MOTORBIKE IN FORNT OF ME ME HIT THE BRAKES TO AVOID COLLISION WITH A CAR IN FORNT OF IT. I HIT MY BRAKES, TO THE MAXIMUM. I SLID QUIET LONG DISTANCE AND CAME TO A FINAL STOP. I NEARLY HIT THE BIKER, BUT I COULD FEEL THE BRAKES NOT BEING ABLE TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR. A WEEK AFTER THIS, SAME THING HAPPENED BUT IN A CITY TRAFFIC SIGNAL. I WAS TRYING TO STOP IN A RED LIGHT, BUT AGAIN THE CAR SLID THIS TIME AND THE CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION. LUCKILY NOBODY WAS IN THE STREET, OTHERWISE BOTH OF THESE INCIDENCES COULD HAVE BEEN A FATAL ACCIDENTS.
UNDER 15000 MILES UNDER CITY DRIVING CONDITIONS. 2015 SE TRIM. BRAKE LIGHT AND "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM" MESSAGE APPREARED ON THE CENTER CONSOLE. ON THE WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP, BRAKES FAILED TO WORK AND I PANICKED AND PUMPED MORE THAN ONCE. HEARD A "THUD" NOISE AND LO AND BEHOLD THE BRAKE LIGHT AND THE MESSAGE DISAPPEARED. DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS A MAINTAINENCE CODE (WITH THE SCANNER) AND THAT THEY ARE REPLACING "BRAKE BOOSTER". VEHICLE STILL UNDER WARRANTY SO LUCKILY I DONT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING. HOW IS TOYOTA ABLE TO GET AWAY WITHOUT A RECALL OF FAULTY BRAKES? HOW MANY FOLKS WILL HAVE TO GET HURT OR DIE BEFORE AN ACTION IS TAKEN.

THE FIRST TIME THE BRAKES WENT HALF WAY DOWN. A MONTH LATER, THE BRAKES WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, I ALMOST HIT CAR. I HAD TO KEEP PUSHING REAL HARD TO MAKE THE CAR STOP.
I PULLED UP TO A FAST FOOD DRIVE THRU AND APPLIED MY BRAKES. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND IN DESPERATION I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK ONLY TO HEAR 5-6 LOUD CLICKS AS I BUMPED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THIS WAS A 1 OR 2 MPH COLLISION RESULTING IN VERY LITTLE DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES. HOWEVER, THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME IN THIS NEW CAMRY WITH 7200 MILES ON IT. THE FIRST TIME WAS WHEN I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY TWO MONTHS AGO. THIS TIME THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I BACKED OVER A CEMENT RETAINING WALL IN MY NEIGHBOR'S YARD. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO PULL ME OUT BECAUSE THE REAR WHEELS WERE HANGING IN MID AIR AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ENOUGH TRACTION TO GET MY CAR RIGHTED UP. THE OTHER TIME WAS ANOTHER LOW SPEED EVENT AT ANOTHER DRIVE THROUGH. NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME AND ALL WAS OKAY . I FILED A CASE WITH TOYOTA CORPORATE WILL NOT PAY FOR TOWING OR RENTAL AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT RETURNED ANY OF MY PHONE CALLS

THREE DAYS AFTER WE PURCHASED THE CAR, WE WERE BACKING OUT OF OUR DRIVEWAY, BRAKE TO STOP BEFORE PULLING INTO THE STREET AND THE CAR WOULDN'T STOP. WE HEARD A CLANKING NOISE AND IT TOOK EXTRAORDINARY PRESSURE ON THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHO, AFTER INSPECTING THE CAR AND DRIVING IT FOR A DAY OR TWO COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. THIS HAPPENED A SECOND TIME APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS LATER UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS. AT THAT TIME, THE DEALER'S SERVICE MANAGER SAW A NOTICE FROM THE CORPORATE OFFICE INDICATING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM IN SOME 2015 CAMRY'S WHICH WERE MANUFACTURED DURING A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME. THE PROBLEM INVOLVED THE "BRAKE BOOSTER" WHICH WAS REPLACED IN OUR CAR AFTER THE SECOND BRAKE FAILURE. WITHIN ANOTHER WEEK, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TWICE AGAIN. WE REFUSED TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AND TOYOTA BOUGHT BACK THE CAR AND REFUNDED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE CAR. *TR

I ASKED THEM TO RECHECK AS I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG SINCE THE BRAKE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND MADE A TERRIBLE NOISE.
