RECALLCampaign #25V826000

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Ram 1500 Pickup, Ram 2500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Pickup, Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, 4500 Ram Cab Chassis, and Ram 5500 Cab Chassis vehicles. A software error may cause the instrument panel cluster display to be blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems," 105, "Hydraulic and Electric Brake Systems," and 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect."

Fix: Dealers will inspect and update the instrument panel software or replace the instrument panel cluster, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 18, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are B4C and B8C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 4, 2025.

Filed: Mar 2026

Your 2025 Ram 3500's brake lights and turn signals stopped working while driving, leaving you without rear signaling at night in a dark rural area. This is part of a safety recall (Campaign 26V059000), but your dealer says the replacement parts are unavailable because they're being allocated to unsold vehicles first, and the parts cannot be manually ordered. You felt unsafe driving the truck in this condition. Getting the lights working will likely require replacing the failed lighting components or their wiring once parts become available.

Filed: Feb 2026

While driving at low speeds without towing, your truck's trailer brake system stopped working and a service warning appeared on the dashboard. The dealership replaced the trailer brake gain adjustment switch, but the same warning message has come back several times since the repair. If you had been towing a trailer when this happened, you would have had no brakes on the trailer, which is a serious safety concern.

Your rear wheel speed sensors may fail or stop communicating with your truck's computer, which disables critical safety and drivetrain features including ABS, automatic emergency braking, 4-wheel drive, stability control, and cruise control. When this happens, your engine may not shut off, you can't shift gears, and you're stuck with the engine running and unable to drive. Even after dealership repairs and replacement with updated sensors, the problem may recur within just a few miles.

Filed: Nov 2025

Your 2025 Ram 3500 is experiencing intermittent failures of the anti-lock braking system along with other safety features including traction control, forward collision warning/assist, lane departure warning, and high beam headlights. The dealership has attempted multiple repairs without resolving the issue, which is particularly concerning during wet conditions, hard braking, or when towing a trailer. A complete electrical and brake system diagnostic will likely be needed to identify and repair the underlying cause affecting these interconnected safety systems.

Filed: Jan 2026

Your instrument cluster stopped working after starting the vehicle, continuing to show a 'Press Brake and Press Button to Start' message even though the engine was running. All gauges, warning lights, and vehicle information displays were inoperative, leaving you unable to see speed, RPM, or warning alerts — though the vehicle could still be driven and turn signals worked. The problem intermittently resolved itself after the vehicle sat for a while. Additionally, your truck has an electrical issue with the trailer lighting connector that caused the connection to smoke when a diagnostic tester was attached, indicating a defect in the trailer wiring system. The dealership has identified the need for replacement components to resolve both the instrument cluster software issue and the faulty trailer electrical connector.

Your truck's trailer running lights stopped working shortly after the dealership replaced the integrated trailer control module. Even though technicians tested the 7-way trailer connector and found 12V power present, the running lights still won't function, and the dealership couldn't reproduce the issue during diagnostic testing. This is a safety concern for towing, especially since you use the truck for business. The fix may require replacement of the trailer control module, wiring harness, brake controller, or the entire trailer tow system.

mediumELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEAT BELTS
Filed: Oct 2025

Your seat belt reminder system isn't working for the front passenger, rear passenger, and driver's side seats. When you took your truck to the dealer, they discovered that Ram only designed the seat belt reminder to work for the driver's seat, and the manufacturer confirmed the vehicle is operating as intended. This means you won't get warning lights or chimes reminding passengers to buckle up.
