A tire shop confirmed the tires are defective, and you discovered these tires are not rated for use on a one-ton dually truck, especially when towing heavy loads like your 40-foot fifth wheel trailer. You had to purchase all six replacement tires out of safety concerns. Resolving this will require the tire manufacturer and/or dealership to investigate whether this is a tire defect or an inappropriate tire specification for your truck's intended use, and to determine responsibility for reimbursement.

The contact owns a 2024 Ram 3500 equipped with Nexen Tires, Tire Line: Roadian HTX RH5, Tire Size: LT235/80/R17, DOT Number: 8EX6CMFR2223. The contact stated while driving approximately 65-70 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal sound and felt the steering wheel vibrate. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and noticed that the front passenger's side tire had a blowout. The contact stated that there was no impact to the tire that could have caused a blowout. Additionally, the TPMS failed to alert the contact of the failure. The contact replaced the front passenger's side tire with the spare tire. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the TPMS failed to illuminate because the failure occurred unexpectedly. The spare front passenger's side tire was replaced with a new tire; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The tire manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the failure was related to the tire. The tire failure mileage was 700. The VIN was not provided.
