Your cabin heater has overheated repeatedly and has been replaced three times since November 2025, but the problem persists. Each time it overheats, it fills the passenger compartment with toxic fumes, creating a potential fire hazard. The vehicle is still at the dealer and the issue hasn't been resolved. Fixing this will likely require a complete replacement of the PTC heater unit and a thorough inspection of the electrical heating system to identify the root cause of the repeated overheating.

Your 2024 Ram 3500 experienced a cab heater malfunction where internal wiring and the heating grid melted, causing clear smoke to pour from the vents while you were driving at 65 mph. You also noticed an abnormal odor in the cabin and your rearview camera became inoperable. After the dealer repaired the heater, the same problem happened again shortly after. The repair involved replacing the faulty heater assembly and associated wiring.

Your backup camera isn't working properly and is showing unclear or distorted images, which makes it harder to see behind your vehicle when backing up. When the dealership tried to repair it, they damaged the wiring, and now there's an unresolved electrical problem. The dealership says they don't have the parts needed to fix it and don't know when they'll be available, so your truck has been out of service for over 70 days with no repair plan in place. Getting the backup camera and its wiring repaired will likely require replacing the camera unit and repairing or replacing the damaged wiring harness.

Truck wiring harness is rubbing against the front driver's side body mount, this is a known issue on these trucks, and causes the wiring harness to start rubbing, causing electrical failures, and may cause accidents. Others have stated this occurred to their truck before it reached 50,000 miles. I just checked my 7,000 mile, and found the wiring harness was rubbing.
