Your driver's seat power motor malfunctioned and moved the seat all the way forward on its own, then wouldn't move backward when you pressed the control button. This pinned your legs against the dashboard and prevented you from reaching the gas and brake pedals. The seat motor or its electrical control system will likely need to be repaired or replaced to restore normal operation.
