2017 Ram 1500 Brakes Problems

Dash popped up tire tracation not working, took to dealer after I scanned. Brake module is bad and was told could not drive until replaced, due possible loss of control. ABS brake module pn#68295368ac needs replacing.

I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the unavailability of Mopar part #68295368AC, the ABS Control Module for the 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn. As a result, both the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and cruise control are inoperative. This creates a serious hazard: without a functioning ABS, the risk of skidding and collisions increases significantly.

I have not had any accidents but the vehicle is indicating a fault in the ABS and ESC system

The brakes on my 2017 4WD Lonestar Ram 1500 have been malfunctioning intermittently over the past few months. 1-ABS PUMP MOTOR CONTROL- GENERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE anti-lock brake code C0020-01 came on at 44185 miles. Began driving to work, after about 5 minutes the service ABS light traction control light and brake light came on with cruise control feature disabled.. all the warning lights would come on and off as I drove. The following day.

ABS Module failure, no parts available. National backorder. Part no longer seems supported by RAM.

the failed component is the ABS control module. this is very common with these trucks. parts have been on back order for years.

Brake clip failed. Clip to brake pad on driver side front came loose and caused the brake pad to slip and caliper drop down onto the top of the rotor. Upon braking NO PRESSURE was being applied to the side of the rotor.

Severe braking issue - when idling downhill and in gear ("drive") vehicle cannot be stopped/brakes do not hold. Higher speeds (not attempted) would likely be a disaster. In the attached photo I am coming down our driveway idling in gear ("drive") with brakes mashed to the floor (full travel) and vehicle continues rolling forward/cannot be stopped.

Truck rolled down a slight incline 20-30 feet while in park driver not in vehicle and struck another car behind it. Vehicle stationary, in front of 58 parker blvd monsey ny 10952. Driver and passenger of other vehicle witnessed event.
