transmission problems that don't show up on diagnostic.. it shows up as air sensor problem. That could cost a lot of money if you listen to it...by keep trying to fix the air sensor that has no problem so you will go to auto machines and dealership and they don't know why and keep tell you to fix this or that. The real problem is the transmission. the system fails by not tell you the real problem and have a malfunctioned transmission with the the wiring inside.

PURCHASED OUR 2013 NISSAN SENTRA SV IN MAY, 2016. IT CAME WITH A 7 YEAR CPO, EXPIRATION MAY 30, 2020. WITHIN 3 MONTHS OF PURCHASE I HAD WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A SHIFTING/TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUE. WHEN GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR THE CAR TACHOMETER WOULD REV TO 4500 RPM BUT NUT GO ANY FASTER, THEN SHAKE/THUNK, AND GO INTO 2ND GEAR. FROM THAT TIME UNTIL APRIL, 2020, I WENT IN TO 4 SEPARATE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS IN 2 STATES WITH THIS PROBLEM. EACH ONE SAID THEY WOULD NOT LOOK AT THE VEHICLE BECAUSE NISSAN SAID THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION STOPS WORKING. IN APRIL, 2020, MY LAST VISIT, I EXPLAINED A NEW PROBLEM OCCURRED. THE CAR COULD NOT MAINTAIN 65 MILES PER HOUR WITHOUT GOING INTO OVERDRIVE OR A HIGHER GEAR, AND WAS SHIFTING MULTIPLE TIMES INTO MULTIPLE GEARS. BUT STILL NOTHING WOULD BE DONE BY NISSAN AS THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT FAIL. THEN, ON JULY 22, 2020, THE TRANSMISSION STUCK IN 2ND TWICE. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION. A CASE SHEET WAS DEVELOPED AND I SENT IN INFORMATION TO THEM. 8 DAYS LATER THEY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID MY CPO WARRANTY ENDED END OF MAY, 2020, SO THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO. BY THE WAY, MY CASE SHEET NUMBER WAS 40830236. TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED THIS WEEK COSTING US OVER $4000. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATED. I KNOW OUR CPO ENDED END OF MAY, 2020. BUT NISSAN REFUSED TO LOOK AT TRANSMISSION UNTIL TOTAL FAILURE. I AM SENDING YOU COPIES OF OUR TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT BILL, A COPY FROM NISSAN NOTING TRANSMISSION NEEDING REPLACEMENT, AND OUR CPO WARRANTY. THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE US.

WHEN DRIVING THIS CAR IT CONSTANTLY JERKS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. IT ALSO JERKS WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS GOING DOWN A HILL. LAST WEEK WHEN DRIVING TO WORK I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BREAK AND THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE RPM NEEDLE FLEW UP AND GOT STUCK. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING IN A CAR THAT IS JUST BARELY 7 YEARS OLD. I AM ALSO HAVING ACCELERATION PROBLEMS SO I GET TO ENDURE THE FEAR OF NOT KNOWING IF THE CAR WILL GO WHEN I HIT THE GAS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR IS THE WORST TRANSMISSION EVER MADE. WONDERFUL NEWS. SO NOW MY CHOICES ARE TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, ON TOP OF THE ALREADY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS I AM STILL PAYING ON THE CAR, TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION OR BE TERRIFIED EVERYTIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MY CAR THAT I WON'T MAKE IT TO MY DESTINATION. YOU HAVE MADE A VEHICLE THAT IS OF POOR QUALITY AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU ARE EXPECTING PEOPLE TO PAY. YOUR CAR IS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AN ODOR OF FUEL WAS SOMETIMES PERCEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A NISSAN DEALER LOCATED IN COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND, WHERE TWO CODES POPPED UP: P0456 AND P101. THE VENT CONTROL VALVE SEAL-O-RING 16618-JF00A WERE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,000.

I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE FROM A USED DEALERSHIP. I HAVE A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA THAT HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUES AS THE NISSAN VEHICLES FROM 2010-2012. MY TRANSMISSION FEELS AS IF IT IS SLIPPING, JERKING, SHUDDERING AND DOES NOT GAIN ACCELERATION SMOOTHLY. IF I ACCELERATE AT ALL, MY TRANSMISSION WILL JERK. IF I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE, IT WILL STALL AND FEELS AS IF IT IS NOT GETTING ANY GAS AND THE TRANSMISSION JERKS. IF I AM ON A STREET THAT IS NOT BUSY DRIVING UNDER 40 IF MY RPM GETS OVER 1, IT WILL JERK AND FEEL AS IF IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF. WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHER SPEEDS OF 40, IF THE RPM INCREASES AT ALL, MY VEHICLE JERKS AND FEELS AS IF IT IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH GAS. I TOOK MY CAR TO FIRESTONE ON 1/10/20 AND THEY DETERMINED THAT IT IS INDEED THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I HAD 0 CODES APPEAR. I HAVE THE DOCUMENT FROM FIRESTONE THAT REFLECTS THAT I HAVE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. I WAS ADVISED BY FIRESTONE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN 1/10/20 THE SAME DAY AND WAS TOLD THE EXACT SAME THING, HOWEVER THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO THE YEAR OF MY VEHICLE, BUT I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS THE PREVIOUS YEAR MANUFACTURED VEHICLES. I ALSO HAVE DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS AS WELL. THEY RAN A FULL DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND 0 CODES. I KEEP MY VEHICLE IN GOOD CONDITION AND WELL KEPT AND SERVICE IS UP TO DATE. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.

THE RPM IN MY NISSAN SENTRA 2013 STARTED TO FLUCTUATE WHILE DRIVING IT WASN'T DOING IT TOO MUCH AT FIRST BUT NOW IT DOES IT CONTINUOUSLY AND IT'S SO ANNOYING WHEN I'M DRIVING I TOOK IT TO MY NEAREST NISSAN LOCATION AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT I HAVE TO GET IT REPLACED WHICH SUCKS BECAUSE IT' JUST REACHED 100K MILES I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT MAINTENANCE WITH IT I DON'T WANT TO PAY ALMOST 5K FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION WHEN THE MILEAGE ISN'T EVEN SUPER HIGH, I DID MY RESEARCH AND APPARENTLY THERE'S A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE EXACT MODEL AND MAKE AND WITH NEWER NISSANS TOO WITH LOWER MILEAGE SO IT'S JUST NOT FAIR I LOVE MY NISSAN SENTRA BUT THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR I REALLY BELIEVE THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL FOR THESE CARS WITH HORRIBLE TRANSMISSION DEFECTS. TAKATA RECALL WHEN I FIRST STEP IN THE CAR TO TAKE A TEST DROVE, IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS OK . IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM BUT WHEN I DROVE IT HOME , ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR STARTED TO SHAKE AND IT TOOK ABOUT 60 SECOND FOR THE GEAR TO SWITCH. THE CAR SEEN AS THOUGHT IT WAS OVERHEATING WHEN I HAVEN'T EVEN DROVE IT LONG . I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND HE SAID “ I WAS COVERED WITH WARRANTY “ AND THAT “I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PAYING ANYTHING.” HE GAVE ME A LOAN CAR AND HAVE BEEN EXTENDED IT FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS BECAUSE MY CAR STILL HAVEN'T BEEN FIX YET . I ALSO FOUND THAT MY CAR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BY THE WARRANT BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY SAID THE CAR WASN'T IN GOOD CONDITION WHEN I BROUGHT IT. THEY DENIED THE REQUEST OF FIXING THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER REFUSES TO GIVE ME ANOTHER TEMP TAG AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE HIM PREMISES. I HAVE BEEN PAYING ON A CAR THAT I HAVE NOT HAD FOR TWO MONTHS AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS AN UNJUST SITUATION. I HOPE THAT THE OTHER CUSTOMERS AREN’T GETTING TREATED LIKE MYSELF .

'TAMARA RECALL' I WAS DRIVING WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED JERKING AND THE SPEEDOMETER WAS RACING UP AND DOWN, I WENT TO PULL OUT ON THE HIGHWAY AND WAS NEARLY HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK BECAUSE THE CAR HAD LOST POWER AND WOULDN'T GO OVER 5 MPH. THE TRUCK HAD TO SWERVE TO KEEP FROM HITTING ME. THIS CAR HAS A FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE OFF THE ROAD. IT HAPPENS WITH NO WARNING. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WOULD COST $5000 TO FIX THAT I DON'T HAVE. AND I STILL OWE $10,000 ON THE CAR.

BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM DEALER IN AUGUST 2018 ONLY 6 MONTHS AGO I HEARD A NOISE BUT THE DEALER SAID THAT ALL THE CARS MAKE THAT NOISE THE NOISE HAS GOTTEN WORSE AND I KNOW IT IS A ROD BEARING ANOTHER MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT BUT DEALER REFUSES TO EVEN DROP THE OIL PAN AND CHECK THE ROD BEARINGS NOISE IS GETTING WORSE BRAD FENTON MOTORS IN ARDMORE OKLAHOMA IS WHERE I TOOK IT TOO. THE NOISE IS WORSE WHEN ENGINE IS COLD AND GETS LESS NOISY WHEN WARM. I SIGNED TO CANCEL MY WARRANTY BUT THE NEVER FINISHED IT HOPING FOR A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 15 AS WE LEFT SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. IN THE CAR WAS MY ADULT DAUGHTER AND MY TWO GRANDDAUGHTERS, AGES 1 1/2 AND 10 MONTHS. I WAS AHEAD OF HER IN OUR NISSAN PATHFINDER. SHE CALLED MY PHONE AND SAID THAT THE CAR RPM'S WERE FLUCTUATING AND THAT THE CAR WASN'T GOING TO MAKE IT HOME TO TWENTYNINE PALMS. WE PULLED OFF THE FREEWAY IN ESCONDIDO. I CHECKED THE SENTRA AND FOUND THAT IN IDLE AND PARK THAT THE ENGINE RAN FINE. WHEN I DROVE THE CAR, IT WAS LURCHING LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WASN'T SHIFTING CORRECTLY. AFTER CHECKING THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, I DROVE TO A WELL LITE PARKING LOT AND WHILE THE FAMILY ATE, I CALLED AAA AND HAD THE SENTRA TOWED TO MOSSY NISSAN OF ESCONDIDO. ON MONDAY THE 22ND, MY WIFE CALLED MOSSY NISSAN AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED. THEY CALLED HER BACK SAYING THAT IT WASN'T THE TRANSMISSION, THAT A SENSOR HAD BEEN TAKEN OFF OF THE MANIFOLD BY HER HUSBAND OR OUR MECHANIC. SHE ASSURED THEM THAT SINCE THE CAR WAS ONLY 13 MONTHS OLD AND UNDER WARRANTY, NO MECHANIC HAD WORKED ON THE CAR AND THAT I HAD ONLY DONE THE OIL CHANGES, BUT HAD NOT WORKED ON THE ENGINE. MOSSY NISSAN SAID THAT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY SINCE THE SENSOR IN THE MANIFOLD WAS REMOVED. I CALLED MOSSY NISSAN AND TOLD THEM THAT I HAD NOT WORKED ON THE ENGINE, THAT NO MECHANIC HAD WORKED ON THE ENGINE AND THAT THE SENSOR HAD TO HAVE FALLEN OFF THE CAR WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IT ON THE FREEWAY. THEY REFERRED ME TO NISSAN USA, WHICH SAID THE SAME THING; THAT SINCE THE SENSOR WAS MISSING, THEY HAD NOTHING TO TURN IN FOR WARRANTY, SO THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. THE PRICE TO REPAIR THE CAR WAS OVER $700, AS THEY SAID I NEEDED A COMPLETE MANIFOLD WITH THE SENSOR ATTACHED. AFTER REPEATED CALLS, MOSSY NOW SAID THAT MY CAR WILL BE REPAIRED BY 1/17/15 AND THE PRICE WILL BE UNDER $500 BECAUSE I HAD TO WAIT FOR A PART FROM THE FACTORY. *TR

THEN SUDDENLY IT WILL TAKE OFF. THE CAR DOES THIS AT RANDOM AND IT CANNOT BE DETECTED ON THE COMPUTER ACCORDING TO NISSAN. FRIDAY NIGHT THE CAR DID THE SAME THING. THIS TIME WAS WORST AND I WAS IN TRAFFIC WITH PEOPLE BEHIND ME. AS I STARTED TO PULL OFF FROM THE LIGHT THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PAST 25. I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE FLASHERS ON PRAYED THAT I DID NOT GET HIT FROM BEHIND. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AND I AM CURRENTLY PAYING FOR A RENTAL BECAUSE NISSAN LITHIA SPRINGS REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RENTAL OR LOANER. I AM VERY DISTRESSED ABOUT THIS CAR.
