Your car's engine isn't responding when you press the accelerator pedal. When you tried to speed up while driving, the car didn't accelerate, which created a safety hazard when a vehicle behind you came close. my CVT transmission is not working anymore because of the manufacture defect
The wiring that connects to the throttle sensor is fraying and causes the car to stall unexpectedly when driving. If the car stalls unexpectedly it increases the chances of a fatal accident. There are no warnings, all the warnings appear when the car stalls. My safety is at risk because it stalls when driving unexpectedly and another car can hit me from behind causing an accident without warning.
This vehicle will not go forward or move backward. We were on the freeway ... luckily we were able to get car to drive forward before oncoming traffic hit us We were scared for our lives. We have reached out to Nissan of North America SEVERAL times about this and correcting the issue. We were just made aware recently by an attorney to try reaching out to you. They are refusing to fix issue or a recall vehicles. It is a CTC transmission issue according to mechanics. I was told that a consumer filed a suit against them for this COMMON safety issue but Nissan corporation of North America are refusing to do a recall. They are putting consumers through a lot of red tape so that they can save money while risking human lives. I’m scared that someone will be hit bad or killed because Nissan North America will not do a recall for consumers. I reported to Attorney General in Tennessee, the Home State of their Corporation but they are doing nothing seemingly regarding Nissans’s North America lack of concern for their drivers and consumers.
WHILE DRIVING, MY CAR CONTINUES TO JERK AND JERK AS I TRIED TO GIVE THE CAR GAS. IT WOULD SPUTTER AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN JUMP REALLY QUICK. IT FINALLY GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I GOT STUCK AT TWO LIGHTS! I FINALLY GOT MY DESTINATION AND GOT STUCK ON THE HILL. MY FOOT WAS ALL THE WAY ON THE GAS PEDAL AND SOME KIND GENTLEMEN PUSHED MY CAR UP THE HILL SO I COULD PARK IT. IT'S VERY SCARY AS I HAD MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME AND FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN IT PUTS ALL OF OUR LIVES IN DANGER. I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR INTERSECTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ANY TIME O WOULD COME TO A STOP IT WOULD STALL AND IT WOULD NOW ALLOW ME TO TURN. THE ACCELERATION WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO CUT THE CAR OFF TWICE TO TRY AND SEE IF IT WOULD RESTART AND GIVE ME ENOUGH PUSH TO MY DESTINATION. BUT AS STATED MY FOOT WAS COMPLETELY ON THE GAS AND IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 5 MPH!
UPON DRIVING MY CAR DURING A TRIP HOME FROM WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I HAD THE GAS PEDAL PUSHED TO THE FLOOR AND IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 20 MPH AND THE RPM'S WOULD NOT MOVE. ONCE I GOT ON THE FREEWAY, THE CAR WOULD HARDLY ACCELERATE AND WHEN IT FINALLY DID DECIDE TO AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING THE RPM'S WENT ALL THE WAY UP AND THE SPEED ODOMETER HARDLY MOVED. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. I ALMOST GOT HIT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE CAR COULD NOT SPEED UP.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON DUE TO THE SAME AIR FLOW PROBLEM. EVERY TIME CAR IS SCANNED THE CODE COMES UP AS THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. SINCE PURCHASING THE CAR, I HAVE REPLACED THIS SENSOR TWICE. I REPLACED THE SENSOR ON 7/8/19 APPROXIMATELY 4 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AND THEN AGAIN ON 10/10/18. BEFORE REPLACING THE PART ON OCT. 10, I WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 20 MPH. MY CAR ALSO IDLES, JERKS WHEN PLACED IN PARK & HAS DECREASED FUEL EFFICIENCY.
CAR STARTING JERKING AND CAME TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP OUT THE BLUE AT 136,000-138,000 SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN DON'T EXACTLY REMEMBER. THE FIRST SIGH SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH CAR WAS THE RPM WOULD JUST GO UP HIGH OUT OF BLUE WHILE ACCELERATING WHICH WAS DANGEROUS AD JUST COMMING TO A STOP OUT OF NOWHERE. WE CALLED AROUND TRYING TO GET ISSUE FIXED BUT NOONE COULD HELP CAUSE THERE WAS NO LIGHT ON IN CAR TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS WRONG. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT JUST CAME ON AS OF TODAY 10/11/2019 FOR FIRST TIME EVER AT 141,000 AND CAR STOPS DOESNT PULL. DOES ON HIGHWAY, INTERSTATE AND WHILE TURNING.

STALLING WHEN I AM DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE TO TAP THE GAS TWICE FOR IT TO START BACK.
CAR IS NOT SHIFTING INTO GEARS RIGHT RPM IS EVERYWHERE AN HITING SHIFTS REALLY HARD
MY VEHICLE HAS HAD ONGOING ISSUES WITH ACCELERATION AND THE RPMS GOING PAST WHAT IT SHOULD UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS ISSUE OCCURS SPECIFICALLY WHEN I ACCELERATE. ON JANUARY 21, 2018, AS I WAS MERGING ON TO THE HIGHWAY TRYING TO ACCELERATE, MY SPEED WOULD NOT INCREASE INITIALLY AND MY RPMS WERE PAST 5. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CONCERNING AS I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER AFTER HAVING BEEN REPLACED ONCE ALREADY. MY CAR DOESN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY AND I WENT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST WHO ALSO SAID THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. I PRESENTED THIS INFORMATION TO THE NISSAN SPECIALIST WHO STATED IT WASN'T AND IT IS FINE. HOWEVER, I'VE HAD INSTANCES WHERE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT OPERATE THE WAY IT SHOULD UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS AND PRIOR TO HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS.
TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE FOR TWO YEARS AND EVERY COUPLE MONTHS WHILE IDLING IT WILL TURN OFF. AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR WON'T GO OVER 15 MILES PER HOUR. I THOUGHT MAYBE ME TURNING THE AIR ON PLUS WITH THE HEAT THAT IT WAS THE REASON FOR THE MALFUCTION, BUT THEN IT DID IT AGAIN A FEW DAYS LATER WHILE I WAS TURNING ONTO A BUSY INTERSECTION. I TOOK IT TO A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE TO ASK IF HE HAD ANY KNOWN SOLUTIONS TO WHY I AM LOSING ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING. BUT HE DIDN'T KNOW OF ANY. SO FOR A WHILE IT WAS DRIVING NORMAL...AT LEAST I THOUGHT. MY DAUGHTER HAD USED THE VEHICLE AND I FORGOT TO TELL HER ABOUT THE ACCELERATION ISSUE, BUT SHE ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE LOST OF ACCELERATION. I THEN STARTED PAYING MORE ATTENTION AND WAS GOING TO TAKE IT SOMEWHERE PROFESSIONAL TO GET IT LOOKED AT.UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT GET IT LOOKED AT FAST ENOUGH AS THE ACCELERATION WENT OUT AGAIN AND CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. AS I WAS DRIVING AND COMING AROUND A CURVE THE ACCELERATION ONCE AGAIN LEFT AND AS I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST HIT THE PEDAL MULTIPLE TIMES TO TRY TO GET IT TO REV UP SO THAT I CAN DRIVE. ONLY THIS TIME AND AFTER HITTING THE PEDAL MULTIPLE TIMES IT JERKED AND REV HARD WHICH STARTLED ME AND I LOSS CONTROL OF THE CAR. MY CAR FLIPPED OVER 3 TIMES. BY THE GRACE OF GOD I SURVIVED. PUZZLED AND TRYING TO GET MY SELF BACK ON MY FEET I STARTED TO RESEARCH WHAT POTENTIALLY COULD HAVE BEEN WRONG WITH THAT CAR ONLY TO LEARN THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO EXPERIENCED THIS WITH SENTRAS. I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE DEALER TODAY FOR SERVICE ON TWO RECALLS, THE CVT, AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THESE RECALLS ARE UPDATING THE COMPUTER. ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER, MY CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. WHEN I WOULD REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND REAPPLIED IT, THERE WAS A LONG DELAY IN THE ACCELERATION. DUE TO THIS DELAY I WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT, BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE OUT OF THE WAY OF AN ONCOMING CAR. BY BLOWING MY HORN, I GOT THE ATTENTION OF THE OTHER DRIVER AND I AVOIDED THE ACCIDENT. I CALLED THE DEALER AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. TOMORROW MORNING I AM BRINGING THE CAR BACK IN TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT.
AFTER ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM STOP AT A STOP SIGN, THE SENTRA WOULD NOT ACCELERATE HIGHER THAN ABOUT 10 MPH. I PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, AND STILL NO ACCELERATION. AFTER A MINUTE OR SO, IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL. OVER THE COURSE OF AN HOUR LONG DRIVE, THIS HAPPENED AT LEAST 5 TIMES. ABS INDICATOR ALSO CAME ON WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKE. VDC AND SLIP LIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR. IT WILL PERFORM NORMALLY FOR A DAY OR TWO. THEN START MALFUNCTIONED AT RANDOM. TWO ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE AT THE DEALERSHIP TO FIX IT ACCORDING TO DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH INDICATED THE "BRAKE SWITCH CODE". BRAKE SWITCH REPLACED AND VEHICLE PERFORMED NORMALLY FOR TWO DAYS THE PERFORMED WORSE THAN BEFORE PART WAS CHANGED. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 770. UPDATED 12/24/13*CN THE CONSUMER STATED ON TWO OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER, AND IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE.
