CVT TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SWITCH GEARS EFFICIENTLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO MOVE SLOW IN HIGH SPEED ROADS & HIGHWAYS.
FRONT ENGINE CRADLE SUBFRAME CROSSMEMBER BUSHING KITS HAVE ISSUES DUE TO WHICH I AM GETTING CONSTANT SOUND FROM THE ENGINE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A REGULAR COMPLAINT WITH MY KIND OF VEHICLE. WHICH IS NISSAN ROUGHER 2009 SL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WOULD REMAIN ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF ST. ALBANS DEALER, LOCATED AT 4 FRANKLIN PARK W, ST ALBANS CITY, VT 05478, (888) 719-6390, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM FAILED AND THE CANISTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN AND PROVIDED AN UNKNOWN CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
ISSUE WHEN DRIVING AT FIRST FOR LONG PERIODS. THE CAR WILL START TO SLOW DOWN. CAN'T OR WON'T ACCELERATE. I CALL ABOUT THIS ISSUE 2 YEARS AGO AND I WAS DISMISSED. BUT I SEE THERE'S A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN OTHER STATES, DESCRIBING THE SAME ISSUE WITH DIFFERENT NISSAN MODELS. THE CVT... I WOULD THINK IF THERES AN ISSUE NISSAN, BEING AS BIG AS THEY ARE WOULD ADDRESS IT. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE ALL YOU COMPANIES LIKE TO TO IS SHOVE US UNDER THE RUG . I LIKE MY CAR AND IT'S NOT FAIR THAT I'D HAVE TO GO TO SUCH LENGTH TO HAVE THIS ADDRESSED. I'VE HAD MAINTENANCE DONE WHICH IS COSTLY AND STILL NO TIX...
THE CAR WILL NOT GO OVER 40 MILES PER HOUR ON MOUNTAIN PASSES. IT IS VERY SCARY WHEN SHARING A 2 LANE HIGHWAY WITH TRUCKS. IT OVERHEATS AND YOU ARE STUCK. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH A 2009 ROGUE HAVING THIS ISSUE. IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND REPAIRED BY NISSAN NOT BY THE CONSUMER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROUGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE RPM GAUGE FLUCTUATED WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE AND DECELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TWICE, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL RUMBLING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES MAY BE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRES WERE ROTATED, BUT THE RUMBLING NOISE WAS STILL PRESENT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A SECOND OPINION WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT THE TIRES WERE NOT THE ISSUE; HOWEVER, THE MOTOR WAS MOVING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE DEALER NEVER PERFORMED THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN ACCELERATING. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME AND SINCE THEN IT HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT BEEN ON AT ALL IT RANDOMLY OCCURS. IT SEEMS THAT IT WOULD BE AN EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS SITUATION FOR A VEHICLE TO HESITATE IN REGARDS TO ACCELERATION. IT IS ANYWHERE FROM A 2-10 SECOND DELAY. I HAVE JUST LEARNED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG MANY OWNERS OF THE NISSAN ROGUE AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED OR WORSE DEAD. I AM SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE BUT WHEN I AM MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO TRAFFIC AND I'M MET WITH VEHICLES COMING TOWARDS ME AS MY VEHICLE HESITATES TO ACCELERATE I WOULD DEFINITELY CONSIDER THIS A LIFE THREATENING ISSUE FOR BOTH ME AND MY FAMILY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DECELERATED THEN STALLED. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAIT FOR HOURS BEFORE IT COULD BE RESTARTED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THERE WAS A COMPLETE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
I WAS LEAVING A STORE AND GAS LIGHT CAME ON. I KNEW THAT I HAD FILL UP BEFORE ENTERING THE I-95 INTERSTATE AND I WAS A BIT PERPLEXED. I DROVE TO A GAS STATION AND FILLED UP ONCE AGAIN AND NOTICE THAT THE GAS GAUGE FILLED TO ITS CAPACITY. THIS OCCURRED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND I DISMISSED IT. ON 9/19/13, I STOPPED AT A GAS STATION AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ON 9/20/13 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A FUEL SENDING UNIT WHICH WOULD COST ME $1,087 WHICH INCLUDES PARTS AND LABOR. OF COURSE, I DECLINE TO REPAIR IT BECAUSE AT THAT TIME I WAS FRUSTRATED WITH NISSAN AND WAS THINKING ABOUT TRADING IN THE CAR. PREVIOUSLY, I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK ON TWO OCCASIONS FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WHICH I WAS GRATEFUL THAT IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND TREATED THIS INCIDENT AN OCCURRING PROBLEM WITH 09 ROGUE. I ONLY HAVE THIS VEHICLE FOR 1.5 YEARS AND I AM FEARFUL EACH TIME THAT I DRIVE. EVEN THE TRIPLE A YOUNG MAN TOLD ME TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE WITHIN THE LAST MONTH HE HAS TO TOW QUITE A FEW. MY COMMUTE ON INTERSTATE EACH DAY IS WORRISOME BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. NOW I AM STUCK WITH A NEW PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE THAT I AM STILL PAYING FOR AND SPENDING MORE MONEY ON GAS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN . PLEASE WE MUST DO SOMETHING WITH THIS COMPANY NISSAN. I PLACED A COMPLAINT TODAY 9/23/13 AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK SINCE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMATION WITH THIS TYPE OF RECALL. (LIARS) THEY ARE LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT ON NISSANS. I AM NOT CERTAIN IF I WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON A CAR THAT I TRULY FEEL UNSAFE WITH OR WRITE OFF MY LOSS AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE. EITHER WAY, I HAD TO WRITE THIS COMPLAINT SINCE I HAVE NEVER FELT SO UNSAFE DRIVING A VEHICLE.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, MY 2009 NISSAN ROGUE BEGAN OVERHEATING. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY MECHANIC WHERE HE FOUND COOLANT IN THE SPARK PLUGS SO REPLACED ALL PLUGS AND CHECKED THE RADIATOR. WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE, IT WOULDN'T START. HE CHECKED IT OVER AGAIN AND SAID THAT IT HAD A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. UNFORTUNATELY, THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY WAS ONLY GOOD FOR 5 YRS/60,000 MILES. I WAS 6,000 MILES OVER THE LIMIT. WHEN NISSAN WAS CONTACTED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE POWER TRAIN. WHEN I ASKED THEM IF THEY HAD NOTICED A HIGH INCIDENCE OF POWER TRAIN PROBLEMS BEING REPORTED, I WAS TOLD "WELL, YES AND NO." HUH? *TR
TAKING A ROAD TRIP WHEN A ROCK OR OTHER OBJECT PUNCTURED MY CONDENSER. DEALER SAYS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND CAR IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. IT COMES WITH A HEFTY PRICE TAG OF $750. HOW OFTEN CAN I EXPECT TO PAY TO HAVE MY CONDENSER FIXED FROM FLYING OBJECTS? CAR IS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. *TR
2009 NISSAN ROGUE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 35MPH ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH NO SIGNS OF INCIDENTS BEFOREHAND TRIED TO RESTART A LEAST 10 TIMES CAR WOULD START RUN FOR A FEW SECONDS AND STALL. HAD CAR TOWED TO NISSAN DEALER, WHERE IT WAS CHECKED MONDAY MORNING NISSAN SERVICE COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AND THERE WERE NO CODES STORED SO WAS RETURNED TO ME WITH NO WORK DONE EXCEPT ROAD TEST.. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER THREE TIMES. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TRADED IN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,910. UPDATED 8/24/10 *CN NISSAN ADVISED THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE FROM AUGUST 2009 TO NOVEMBER 2009. THEN IN DECEMBER 2009 A RECALL NOTICE FROM NISSAN WAS ISSUED FOR THE VERY SAME PROBLEM SHE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT. THE CONSUMER HAD ALREADY TRADED THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 08/26/10 THE CONSUMER STATED SHE RECEIVED A SECOND RECALL NOTICE THAT STATED NISSAN WAS CONDUCTING A VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN ON CERTAIN ROGUE VEHICLES TO REDUCE A RATTLING NOISE THAT MAY BE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION AT LOW SPEEDS.
