CAN WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ONCE I WAS AT A STOP. WOULD TRY AND GO AND VEHICLE WOULD GO AN ESTIMATED SPEED OF 5MPH THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN TRYING TO TURN OR PULL INTO AN INTERSECTION. NOT KNOWING IF MY VEHICLE WOULD GO WITHOUT ISSUES OR LOSE POWER AND PULL IN FRONT OF A CAR GOING DANGEROUSLY SLOW. THIS HAS HAPPEN ABOUT 10TIMES AND RANDOM DAYS/TIMES. THIS IS A CONTINUING PROBLEM.
WHILE TAKING A FAMILY TRIP IN JULY 2017 WEEKS AGO ON I95 DRIVING AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ONCE THE SPEEDOMETER HIT 65 TO 70. AT CERTAIN TIMES TRYING TO MOVE INTO ANOTHER LANE THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T ACCELERATE EVEN WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING IT ALSO STARTED TO DECELERATE. IT DISPLAYED THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN WHEN TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE FOLLOWING WEEK AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN TRYING TO MERGE OR MOVE OUT OF THE WAY OF ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT IS BEHIND YOU.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER DRIVING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME WHICH EXCEEDED ONE HOUR, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL AS THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING UPHILL, THE VEHICLE WOULD DECELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 NISSAN ROGUE. AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN, WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY JERKED FORWARD. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTAKE VALVE HOSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR FILTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
WHILE DRIVING A HIGHWAY ON 65 MPH SUDDEN LOSS OF ACCELERATION OCCURS. PRESSING THE ACCELERATION PEDAL DOES NOT MAKE ANY EFFECT ON A CAR SPEED. RPM FALLS TO 1-2K AND DID NOT GOES UP. WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND STOP. AFTER 15 MINUTES WITH THE ENGINE TURNED OFF, PROBLEM DISAPPEARS. THIS HAPPENED FOR THE THIRD TIME, AS A PREVIOUSLY,IT OCCURS AFTER A LONG DRIVE (MORE THAN 3 HOURS) OR ON A HIGH SPEED (MORE THAN 75 MPH). IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN WHEN A CAR DECELERATED FROM 65 TO 30 MPH ON A HIGHWAY.
WIFE TURNING LEFT AT STOP LIGHT. STEPPED ON GAS PEDAL AND VERY LITTLE ACCELERATION, ALMOST T-BONED. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, AND WITH NO WARNING. I WAS DRIVING TO THE DEALER AND IT HAPPENED TO ME. STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT AND THEN THE PROBLEM WAS GONE. THE DEALER SAID THE BREAK SWITCH WAS THE PROBLEM. I DECLINED REPAIRS BECAUSE EVERY TIME I TAKE THE ROGUE TO CHECK AND REPAIRS SOMETHING ELSE NEED FIXING. I WILL TAKE FOR REPAIRS TO A AAA REPAIR SHOP NEAR MY HOME. WONDERING IF OTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNER HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. THE SCARY THING IS THAT THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH AND NO WARNING AT ALL. THANKS YOU. I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED BETWEEN 70-75 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. AFTER EXITING OFF THE INTERSTATE AND STOPPING AT THE STOP SIGN, I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL AND IT STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE MOTOR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. THERE HAVE BEEN TWO OTHER INCIDENTS, 8/9/13 AND 10/10/13, WHEN I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND MY ROGUE STALLS AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND I HAD CARS BEHIND ME AND CARS IN THE RIGHT LANE. I PUT ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS AND WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO GET OVER AND HAD JUST ENOUGH MOMENTUM TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND SAT FOR 5-10 MINUTES. I THEN PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND IT DROVE NORMAL. PEOPLE NEED TO BE MADE AWARE THAT THESE NISSAN VEHICLES WILL STALL WITHOUT WARNING AND IT SEEMS TO OCCUR MOST OFTEN WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SO PASSING VEHICLES ON TWO WAY ROADS CAN BE DANGEROUS! I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY NISSAN THAT IT'S THE TRANSMISSION AND IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSAN.
I HAD DRIVEN MY 2009 NISSAN ROGUE AS I WAS DRIVING FOR ABOUT 1 HR @ 65MPH AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE SPEED DECREASED ON ITS OWN .. I LET GO OF THE GAS AND THEN QUICKLY PUT MY FOOT ON THE PEDAL AGAIN BUT IT WOULD NOT SPEED UP.. I HAD MY FOOT COMPLETELY ON THE GAS PEDAL. BUT IT WOULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 20MPH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
