The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while using the key fob to unlock the doors, the rear driver’s and rear passenger’s side doors failed to unlock as needed. The contact also stated that over time, the front driver’s, and passenger’s side doors failed to open while using the key fob. In addition, it was difficult to unlock the front driver’s door manually with the key. The local dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Altima, The contact stated that while attempting to unlock the front driver's side door with the vehicle remote, the door would not unlock. The contact also noticed that both rear doors would not unlock from the remote either. The contact stated that the doors were able to unlock with the vehicle's key, but not the remote. The only door that would unlock was the front passenger side. The local dealer was contacted however the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 40,000.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the front driver’s side and rear driver’s side door locks failed to operate as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the lock actuators had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer also informed the contact that the front passenger’s side door had experienced the same failure. An independent mechanic had repaired all three doors. The manufacturer had not been made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 91,228.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while attempting to open the driver’s door, the door was difficult to open. The contact stated that the door handle was operational however, the door lock failed to release as needed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent at first however, the door became inoperable and no longer was able to be opened. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,698.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 NISSAN ALTIMA. CONTACT STATED SHORTLY AFTER THEY PURCHASED THEIR VEHICLE THEY NOTICED THE HOOD OF THEIR VEHICLE WOULD NOT ALIGN PROPERLY. CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A SPECIALIST WHO REPAIRED THE VEHICLE WITH A BUMP STOP NOD. HOWEVER, VEHICLE'S HOOD BECAME LOOSE AND BEGAN TO MAKE A RATTLING NOISE. CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE' S REMOTE START BUTTON BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. ALSO, WHEN THE CONTACT WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, OR WHENEVER, THEY ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKE PEDAL, THEY NOTICED THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE TO BRAKE AND HESITATE TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S EMERGENCY BRAKES WOULD SUDDENLY ACTIVATE OR THE BRAKES, THEMSELVES, WOULD PREMATURELY ACTIVATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP (COGGIN NISSAN ON ATLANTIC IN JACKSONVILLE ADDRESS: 10600 ATLANTIC BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32246 PHONE: (904) 747-3915) WHO INFORMED THEM THAT SENSORS NEEDED TO BE CLEANED AND THE SHUTTER GRILL WAS MALFUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE'S SHUTTER GRILL WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THREE DAYS AFTER WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE CUT IN FRONT OF ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKE PEDAL, HOWEVER, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOOR CAUSING THE CONTACT TO REAR-END ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES TO THEIR RIGHT LEG, BOTH ARMS AND HEAD. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE A SUPPLEMENTARY AID, AS WELL AS, OPENED A CASE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,619. *LN THE CONSUMER STATED ON 01/19/2020 WHILE DRIVING 60MPH, THE EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM PREMATURELY ENGAGE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLAM ON THE BREAKS. THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED AND THE TIRES BEGAN SPINNING. DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION THE BRAKES FAILED RESULTING IN A CRASH.*JS CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING SHE WAS CUTOFF BY ANOTHER CAR. WHILE BRAKING TO A COMPLETE STOP HER DRIVER ASSISTANCE TECHNOLOGY FAILED WHICH CAUSED A REAR END COLLISION. AIRBAGS DEPLOYED HITTING THE CONSUMER IN THE FACE UPON IMPACT.*JB
