2015 Kia Soul Steering Problems

As I was driving home on the highway, my car began making a noise I never heard before. I looked out of my rear view and began to see smoke coming from my car. As I was trying to get off the highway, my car began to lose control.

Hello, I own currently a car, Kia Soul 2015 , I bought it from car auction, it was recovered after theft! The car is clean title!

We took our Kia Soul to a Kia Service shop Dec 2022 because the steering is making a clicking sound when the wheel is turned from the 11 o’clock to the 2 o’clock position. This condition is consistent with a Kia Safety Recall issued in November 2017, and has been confirmed by another source.

Driving down the highway went to make a turn and the steering wheel came loose. I almost lost control and crashed. There's a loud clicking noise when you turn the steering wheel

Driving on highway 70 and noticed that my tire was getting low. I got off the highway just in time. The tire shop.

On the evening of july 22,2019 I was leaving targets parking lot put my vehicle in reverse and when I put in drive my 2015 kia soul took off. The rpms were the highest it could go going 40 miles p hour in a busy lot all I could was honk my horn. I tried the breaks putting in park and turning the key off.

I was coming out of a red light intersection and when I tried turning to the left the car would not turn and kept going straight. It turned minimally and hit the curb scratching the 2 passenger side wheels (front and back). No airbags were deployed as I was only at maybe 20-30mph.

The car stalls constantly and has been going on for years. Kia had claimed to have fixed the problem that they had fixed the problem however they never did because the car has been continuing to stop in the middle of the road. This car is very dangerous and it has no recalls on it.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 19V120000 (ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AND 17V608000 (STEERING) AT BENSON KIA OF SPARTANBURG (1100 N PINE ST, SPARTANBURG, SC 29303). UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE ADDITIONAL WORK PERFORMED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RESISTER LOCATED UNDERNEATH THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS THE CAUSE OF THE RATTLING NOISE. THE DEALER THEN INFORMED HER THAT THE RESISTER WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AND OFFERED HER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 116,000.

I took my 2015 kia soul to miami lakes kia twice in december 2019, to check a clicking noise when turning both left and right, more consistently when turning right. I'm not sure but I have an inkling that this noise may be related to a problem with the steering column, cv joints or the axle. When I picked up my car the 1st time, as I made a right turn, I heard the same clicking noise.

Starting the engine the idle speeds up fast, a few seconds later it slows to normal. When driving today, there was no acceleration when attempting to. Vehicle was difficult for fuel to allow acceleration.

I recibe recall for airbags, stering pinion . The fuel sending level unit is damage and the gauge fuel level is down. But that reason the system turn on the check engine light.

Loud cranking noise when steering the car left or right.

Safety recall, (NHTSA recall number:15v736) I received a recall notice dated 12/8/15, and went to the dealer on 12/21. They didn't have the parts and/or tools to effect the repair. I have since called kia customer assistance once and the dealer two more times.

First occurred at 134 miles on my 2015 kia soul...bouncy vibrating shaky ride could be felt under my feet like something bumping the bottom of the car and in the steering wheel like someone was tapping on it continuously. Passengers front and rear can feel the vibrating shake. Has been returned to dealer five times with this problem and has not yet been repaired.

Electrical power steering

Car has an heavy gas smell like when the car is started ,has to crank up and car shakes when it’s started steering is off and etc.

While operating the vehicle the power steering ubruptly stopped working for approximately 5 seconds making it difficult to maneuver the vehicle

In starting the car, I have had a dozen incidents where the ignition is frozen and I can not turn the key. I try wiggling the steering wheel, wiggling the gears, removing the key, waiting, etc. On several occasions it has been 5 minutes before I was finally able to turn the ignition on.

In motion at highway speeds going straight for about 5 minutes steering gets hard to make small corrections to the point over correcting becomes a problem. Problem gets worse during rain / wet weather.

I have 2015 kia soul. The kia has 34,000 something miles on it. I was driving it, and when I make left and right turns in the kia it makes a loud popping sound in the steering column.

As two disabled persons who purchased our 2015 kia soul just four months ago, we want to know when the nhsta knew or first became aware of this problem to include when kia first became aware of this problem. Kia corporate headquarters did not or would not tell me. I would have never purchased this car used specifically for our disabilities.
