2015 Kia Soul Fuel System Problems

Vehicle recalled by Kia for potential for short and resultant fire from battery pack. Recall performed, traction battery found to be defective. Vehicle taken and held by Kia for six months while awaiting back-ordered replacement traction pack.

My wife has a 2015 Kia Soul that developed a gasoline leak in the engine compartment. The Kia dealer said some of their other models have been recalled due to gas leaks and fires but this model has not. This model has the same engine and obviously has the same issue as the Kia model that was recalled.

Tl* the contact owned a 2015 kia soul. The contact stated while driving at 70 MPH, the contact smelt smoke from the inside of the vehicle. The contact stated upon trying to stop the vehicle, the brakes would not engage when depressed and the gear shifter would not change gears.

High pressure fuel line (plastic) ruptured, vehicle caught on fire while driving. Luckily pulled over and passer-by stopped with fire extinguisher. Cost of repair in excess of $5000, kia corporate refuses to take responsibility, insurance does not cover.

Engine error code p050a, no performance issues except revving to 2500 RPM's when cold crank start in temperatures below 50f. Cold air idle control system. Error occured on third morning of high revving.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 kia soul. When the accelerator pedal was depressed at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle lost power without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the failure was unable to be determined.

got an engine catalytic converter check engine light

The subject vehicle was take to dealer to address recall SC176. In this recall there is a flow chart instructing the dealer on how to repair the subject vehicle. This flow chart was clearly not followed.

Have had problems with same problem since 2020 took it in roughly 5 times for same thing said was catalytic converter they put new one in not fixed when I push down on gas pedal it hesitates for 3-4 seconds then kicks in drives for a while then it shuts it down when you push on gas pedal when at a stop sign it hesitates again happens a lot more now in traffic it hesitates then kicks in something is definitely wrong with car has 55329 miles I need to know if this under warranty if electrical or transmission we are unsafe driving you never know when it is going to hesitate

Engine warning light keeps coming on caused by engine code p050a told by auto shop where purchased and kia motors that there is no fix at this time vehicle has been to shop multiple times for this issue problem started at approx.

COLD IDLE SENSOR WILL CAUSE THE CAR TO REC AT A HIGH RPM. KIA HAS STATED THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND HAVE NO KNOW FIX.

Car hesitates when accelerating at an intersection leaving you temporarily without power. Dealer acknowledges the problem, but says it is within specs and there is no factory fix.

I purchased a 2015 kia soul on april 11, 2015 from paramount kia of asheville nc and only recently found out that it had an outstanding safety recall(#nhtca-15v123 or sc116) prior to my purchase. Kia motors had notified its dealers on march 19, 2015 that they had been issued a repair procedure for this recall which was to be completed prior to sale of said vehicles.

From the date of purchase until present the vehicle has a lag in acceleration when automatic transmission shifts from first to second gear. The lag causes a dangerous condition when pulling out. Took it back to the dealer 2 times, and each time was told there was nothing they could do until a engine light came on.
