Both front seat belts in your 2024 Kia Sorento were installed backwards at the factory, with the buckles facing inward instead of outward. This defect was present since the vehicle was new but only discovered in August 2025 and confirmed by a Kia dealership. In a crash, these improperly installed seat belts may not function correctly and could fail to protect occupants. Your dealership will need to remove and reinstall the seat belt assemblies with the buckles facing the correct direction.
