While driving, your engine suddenly shut off without warning, causing you to lose power steering. The engine was smoking, and you discovered the oil level was low despite no warning lights appearing beforehand. After adding oil, you heard loud knocking sounds when attempting to restart. The dealership found no oil leaks but estimated $10,000 for diagnostics and engine repair, with potential warranty issues if sludge was discovered.

Your engine is burning excessive oil and producing heavy smoke when starting, a problem that's been ongoing for almost 2 years. Recently, your check engine light came on and the car runs rough and stalls while driving. A repair shop diagnosed this as an internal engine problem and mentioned a Kia recall for Sedona engine issues, though you haven't been able to locate it.

Your engine is consuming more oil than normal, requiring frequent top-ups between scheduled oil changes. This could indicate internal engine wear or a leak that needs diagnosis. A mechanic should inspect your engine for signs of leaks or internal damage to determine the cause and recommend repairs.

Your car makes a strange, bass-like noise coming from the engine when you're stopped at a red light. You've taken it to the Kia dealer twice, but they haven't been able to identify or confirm what's causing it. The dealer may need to perform more detailed diagnostics or monitor the engine while it's idling to pinpoint the source of the noise.
