Your car shudders or hesitates when shifting gears, especially during turns or acceleration to pass other vehicles. This happens intermittently—at least twice during a normal drive—and the issue has been present since you bought the car. The transmission may be slipping or struggling to shift properly, which should be diagnosed by a mechanic to determine whether it's a transmission fluid issue, sensor problem, or internal transmission damage.

Your engine is burning through oil quickly, requiring you to add about a quart every 1-2 weeks with no visible leaks or smoke. You've replaced all four ignition coils and spark plugs three times in a year because the engine sputters after a few months of use each time. The root cause of the oil consumption hasn't been identified yet, but it may involve internal engine wear, valve seal issues, or piston ring problems that would require a more thorough engine inspection.

After your car received Kia's recent emissions software update, your transmission has been shifting hard between neutral and 1st gear, and also lurches when accelerating from a stop. You've noticed the car hesitates and jerks when downshifting to neutral while slowing down. The problem is worse when the engine is cold and in stop-and-go traffic. The dealership hasn't responded to your concerns in two weeks.

The turbo system on the car burns oil at a rapid rate. Had to pay $4000 to replace and still continues to give me problems and check engine light. Violates lemon law. Had replaced in September but was giving me problems well before and finally took it to the dealer for repair
Car burns oil at significant rate which ruins the engine
by the time i’m due for an oil change the car has no oil. there is no leak and no smoke to show car is burning oil
Dealers claim pistons are bad and engine is stalking eating through 2 quart every thousand miles or less. Properly maintained and everything not sure why the pistons would be bad already, also replaced a pcv sensor to fix problem but did not change anything.
2020 Kia Optima Exploding Sunroof. While driving home from work on the highway I heard a loud pop that startled me. Once stopping I found my sunroof was broken. Nothing had hit it, and after inspection at the dealership no mechanical issues were found. On Google many other Kia owners with different years and model cars have experienced the same exact thing I went through. On top of my monthly note I have never been late on. I have to pay to get this fixed when Kia should have actually footed the bill. Will never purchase another kia after this. The whole situation has caused tons of stress and anxiety.
The contact owns a 2020 Kia Optima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the automatic braking system engaged without warning to stop the vehicle. Additionally, the cruise control failed to operate as needed and the vehicle intermittently failed to turn on while using the "Push to Start/Stop" button. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and Kia of Cape Coral (404 NE Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33909) however, both dealers could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,500.
When I accelerate the car jerks as if is going to cut off. I have taken it to the dealer, and they can not find any thing wrong. After searching the internet, I find I am not the only one with this issue. I just want my car fixed so that I feel safe driving it.
