THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY JEEP HAS WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE "DEATH WOBBLE" WHERE ALL THE FACTORY SUSPENSION PARTS START FAILING RAPIDLY. YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR STOPPING ABOVE 40MPH BECAUSE IT SHAKES SO BAD YOU LOSE HOLD OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH JEEPS FROM THE 2000S.
2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WHEN TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT AT SLOW SPEED IT HAS AN AWFUL GRIND NOISE. ALSO WHEN DRIVING ON UNEVEN PAVEMENT HAS DEATH WABBLE AND TERRIBLE SWAY. I HAVE REPLACED CONTROL ARMS SWAY ARMS YOU NAME IT. THE SUSPENSION ON THE VEHICLE FEELS UNSAFE AND MAY POSE AS IF YOUR VEHICLE MAY ROLL OVER AT ANY TIME. I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE. IT SEEMS THIS HAS BEEN A CONSTANT COMPLAINT BY MANY CONSUMERS BUT YET NO RECALL.
I HAVE REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH TWICE IN ONE YEAR (2014). I HAVE PURCHASED A RE-MANUFACTURED ENGINE 2014, SHIPPED FROM TEXAS TO DETROIT, MI.
GOOD EVENING, I OWN A 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO 4X4. I HAD BOUGHT MY VEHICLE A FEW YEARS AGO WITH ABOUT 18,000 MILES ON IT. AFTER TAKING IT FOR A TEST DRIVE THERE WAS A SLIGHT CLICKING NOISE FROM THE FRONT WHEELS. AFTER TODAY, THE CLICKING NOISE SEEMS TO GET LOUDER AT DRIVING 25 MPH. I TRIED TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM BY RESEARCHING SIMILAR INSTANCES ON THE INTERNET. THERE WAS A GENERAL CONSENSUS THAT A BAD U-JOINT WAS THE CULPRIT DUE TO A LACK OF PERMANENT GREASE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN USED BY THE MANUFACTURER. GIVEN THAT THIS CAN LEAD TO THE VEHICLE LOSING CONTROL WHEN THE U-JOINT SNAPS CAN BE LETHAL. PLEASE INQUIRE WHETHER THIS IS A FEASIBLE ISSUE THAT CAN BE RECALLED FOR MY VEHICLE. THANK YOU. *TR

THE NOISE DOES NOT OCCUR WHILE TRAVELING STRAIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALERSHIP WHO DETERMINED THE RIGHT SIDE BALL JOINT WAS DEFECTIVE AND WAS REPLACED. ABOUT ONE MONTH LATER THE NOISE REOCCURRED ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES. THERE IS AN NHTSA RECALL, # 06V288000, REGARDING THE SUSPENSION: FRONT: CONTROL ARM: LOWER BALL JOINT. THE VEHICLE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THE LEFT REAR AXLE WAS BENT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LEFT REAR AXLE, BUT THE SQUEALING NOISE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED.
