2017 Hyundai Tucson Fuel System Problems

6 June 2024 - Sudden severe loss of engine power while driving, presenting potentially serious safety hazard in traffic situations. Check engine light illuminated during incident (not blinking). Driver was able to pull to side of road and shut off car, then after 2 attempts car re-cranked.

Tl* the contact owned a 2017 hyundai tucson. While driving 55 MPH, the contact noticed a fuel odor inside the vehicle and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact exited the vehicle and, minutes later, it caught on fire.

Hyundais dual clutch system in my tucson is very unsafe. I was not aware of issues until 2.5 months after obtaining the vehicle. From a dead atop at times it will not accelerate and only run up rpms.

I have an acceleration problems, from the time I purchased the vehicle. You date below indicates only 1 time. So when the car is stopped and trying to pull out onto a highway or trying to make a turn across a lane of traffic, there is no acceleration, no gas, a hesitation I can punch the gas pedal to the floor before it actually will move then there's a lurch forward.

Car will not accelerate when gas pedal is depressed standing at red light. Very dangerous. I was almost rear ended.

Three times in two months I stop at red light or stop sign take off and my tucson would stalled in the middle of the road and would not go after padding the gas peddle three to four times the car would go then I am worried that another car will run in to me or hit me and some one will get hurt if not killed

Engine was replaced but car kept sputtering only to find out the fuel injectors needing replacement

Vehicle stops changing gears, fuel pressure dropped while driving on highway. Vehicle does pickup speed over 40mph. No check engine light warnings.

My hyundai tucson has almost 30,000 miles on it. About two weeks ago we began having an issue with delayed acceleration. We were driving normally through town and stopped at a stop light.

My truck is unpredictable. Sometimes there is a big delay when you press on the gas. Also, it excellerates when you least expect it for instance, turning into a parking space, all of a sudden it learches forward fast.

My vehicle is unpredictable when shifting or accelerating. I have had it loose all power when trying to accelerate when pulling into traffic. Also it seems to go into a neutral state sometimes or does not shift properly and runs the rpms high and shifts up and down before catching the right gear.

There is a problem with the transmission which doesn't allow us to accelerate fully. It usually happens when the truck is warmed up and very rarely happens when the truck is cold but the problem is that when you take off from a stoplight it does not accelerate like it should it holds back.

At times when I stop and accelerate the car hesitates to move then it jumps and goes making it dangerous .
