2024 Honda Prologue Electrical Problems

Infotainment system completely shuts off at random moments and not form of reset will bring them to work again. Forward Collision Warning: Will sound at times even if there is absolutely nothing ahead of you. Lane departure is not always “available at this time”.

Leased vehicle 8/31/24, HondaLink app crashed within 45 minutes of leaving the dealership. Spent the next 3.5 months on the phone and emailing regularly with Honda for assistance, updates, or a solution, usually with limited response and no resolution. We were told by Honda to not drive the car until the issue was resolved, but they wouldn’t take it in to a shop or anything.

During my experience with the 2024 Honda Prologue, I have encountered several significant issues related to the vehicle's starter system. Notably, while reversing, the car intermittently engages the brakes as if it detects an obstacle behind it. Additionally, while driving, the vehicle occasionally applies the brakes unexpectedly, presuming that a collision is imminent.

While sitting idle at a traffic light, my forward collision notification beeped in spite of my Honda Prologue and the vehicle in front of me being completely still. Otherwise, no movement was taking place in front of my car. I captured this on camera during an incident when this occurred briefly.

Break failure on highway causing MVA- multiple attempts were made to slow down and break vehicle to no response what so ever. Pressed breaks all the way down, nothing, no air, no resistance, no sounds, vehicle kept on going.

I’ve had a couple of issues with this vehicle along with others I know with the same car. When charging it has said a couple of times “not sending power” when public charger seems to be in good condition & there being funds on the card. When closing the panoramic sunroof right when it’s about to close it opens back up.

Component/System Failure: The high-voltage battery system in my 2024 Honda Prologue failed. According to the Honda service center, the battery needs to be replaced. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, not ETA when the part will arrive or when will I get my car back.

Leased the 2024 Honda Prologue EX AWD on [XXX] and attempted to get the HondaLink app setup so I could see the charge level and other vehicle features. Also wanted to select my charging option and access EVGO credits. Received the text link but would not activate.

I have had my prologue for about two months now and have noticed that I receive a warning about reduced acceleration "randomly." I say “randomly” because I’ve observed that it appears during two specific situations. I get that warning whenever I’m low (less than 20%), so this is not random as it seems consistent.

After using the turn signal, instead of self-cancelling it will operate turn signals in the opposite direction for several flashes and then cancel. Since the turn signal over cancels it causes an increased risk of collision with other drivers who could easily misinterpret intended action.

12/13/2024 – Vehicle purchased New 01/22/2025 – Heating system began to malfunction. 01/31/2025 – Received dashboard warnings: “High Voltage System,” “Service Vehicle Soon,” and “Reduced Acceleration.” 02/01/2025 – Vehicle towed to the dealership for service. 02/10/2025 – Vehicle returned to us after repairs.

While traveling out of state, my 2024 Honda Prologue became nearly inoperable due to a system failure. The vehicle suddenly stopped accepting a charge at any public charging station and displayed multiple warning messages, including: “Service High Voltage System,” “Service Vehicle Soon,” and “Charging System Problem.” There were no prior symptoms or warning lights before this occurred.

I leased this vehicle approximately three weeks ago, yesterday as I was adjusting the dashboard lighting, the service high voltage battery warning came on. Now the vehicle wont take a charge, the vehicle has changed the charge setting to 40%, and I cannot increase it. I 've reserved an appointment for 4/11/2025 for the vehicle to be serviced, and was told that I wont be given a loaner vehicle.

2024 Honda Prologue has been having service high voltage system, reduced acceleration, no heat or AC in while in the rain and with toddlers in the car. Car has had this issue twice before and just got the car back from the service on April 2, Had issue in December, Feb 2025 for 11 days. The vehicle was just returned 3 days ago for the same issue.

Charging Port. car will not charge no more under 6000 miles under 10 months of ownership. I have a 3 year at least.

When starting vehicle, lights for Propulsion Power is Limited lights and service vehicle soon lights came on. I tried to shift into reverse, but got a warning message that the conditions for shifting error, I also could not shift to drive. I only have had the car for 2 weeks.

I bought my car in mid-December and twice in the space of driving it less than 300 miles I got warning lights regarding a "high voltage" problem and to go to the dealer immediately. I did both times. The first time they said it was due to the robot installing some valves backward and also the refrigerant was low.

Within two weeks of purchase from dealer, the car began having warning lights “service high voltage system”,“acceleration reduced”, “service vehicle soon”. Additionally this electric car would not allow me to charge the battery once these warning lights were displayed. Car has been towed to dealer for repair.

We had our Honda Prologue just a couple weeks and decided to drive to the mountains. On the way up, we got several error messages: "Service High Voltage System", "Service Vehicle Soon" and "Reduced Acceleration, Drive with Care". The car was still driveable, but we could not charge it at were stuck in the mountains.

While driving, both screens went completely black. Without the screens I was not able to monitor speed, no access to headlights and no access to adjust one pedal driving mode. All audio stopped as well.

My Daughter left to go to school and when she got on to the road from driveway both screens on car went out. I had her come home and tried to get the dash to come on by turning car off then back on multiple times and nothing happened. Called Honda roadside assistance to get vehicle towed.

On [XXX], around 8 PM, I was driving north towards DeLand, Florida on the highway at approximately 70+ miles per hour when my 2024 Honda Prologue started to slow down on its own.

Main screen that operates the vehicle shuts off periodically and will not return on. Upon restart multiple times the screen will partially open and appear on but touch screen features does not work. This prevents the driver from accessing the radio, turn lights on, turn fog lights on off, change charge settings, and accessing all vehicle safety and non-safety related items.

Went to start vehicle and warning light was present on main screen signaling HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM ERROR. I called the local Honda service team who had me check to see if the car would charge. The tech said n the phone was concerned that the battery could be “bricked” meaning in non-operational status.

Two weeks ago, an alert appeared stating that the charge port door was open. The door was closed and no amount of opening and closing the door would stop the alert from repeatedly appearing. After about 2 hours, a new alert would appear either before or after the the alert for the charge door.

While driving at freeway speeds, a red check engine warning appeared along with a “Service High Voltage System” message. Immediately afterward, the vehicle’s heater stopped working, causing the windshield to fog up. I had to pull over safely and manually clear the windshield before driving the vehicle to the dealership.

I have had multiple issues with this vehicle and it has been in the shop more than 80 days between April and Oct 2025. First, the entire battery system went out in the all electric vehicle. Honda said that since it was a collaboration car with GM, that it would take a long time to fix because their technicians weren’t very familiar.

Service High Voltage System alarm + Service Vehicle Soon alarm warning. This with no heat while driving at 10,836 miles. Took in to dealer for service and reportedly a known problem with the freon system and end cap.

Car shows a turtle image on dash and will not go faster than 30mph nor will it fully charge without dealer intervention. This happens when it's cold. There's also a clicking sound when turning as well that's a whole other issue.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the instrument cluster, and the instrument cluster went black. The contact then drove the vehicle to a local dealer; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired.

Dashboard warning "High Voltage System Service Soon" came on while driving. Phoned dealer. Made service appointment.

Both screens went black during drive - no visuals for MPH, safety features including blind spot assist, pedestrian signal and back up camera are included not working. When vehicle is off the radio is still playing. Soft reset did not work.

At almost 20,000 miles my car shut itself off while I was still driving. I was slowing down to a stop but my car was not functioning properly, could not turn my car off, put in park or turn of parking break. I had to sit in the middle of the street for at least a minute until I was able to shut off my car and restart it again.

Persistence issues with warning indicators appearing and charging capabilities on vehicle being reduced from 80% to 27% or 25%, which is approximately 67 miles total, and charging capacity cannot be increased either on the app of the vehicle or directly through the vehicle. Warning indicators displayed include "Service Vehicle Soon" and "Service High Voltage System".

When I, Turn, The Wells Makes, a loud noise the other day appear in the dash brake pedal unavailable and also the air conditioning turns on and off by self

I activate the right turn signal then turn right. When the turn is complete and the steering wheel straightens out, the right turn signal is automatically cancelled (as is normal). However, one out of about five times, after the right turn signal is automatically cancelled, the *left* turn signal activates for three blinks, as though it was momentarily pressed.

I turned my car on and it made an extremely loud, dangerously loud, loudest noise you have ever heard loud, static noise. I turned it off and waited and turned it back on and same thing. I tried shifting it to drive, and the noise stopped.

Vehicle with purchase on April 15, 2025 pre own with only 5800 miles. Drove the car for less than 2 weeks on April 28,2025 a vehicle warning pop-up “ high voltage service error” I took it back to Honda dealership. A code U3620 came up.

Back up Camera -- Honda Prologue Elite model does not have night vision back up camera. In the night when you reverse your car nothing is visible unless you press breaks. I realized this when I got loaner car and lower model has full visibility in the dark but my Elite back up camera does not have night vision.

SEVERAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING, AND THE ACCELERATION stopped at 25 MPH: 1. Service High voltage 2. Service Vehicle Soon 3.

On February 25, 2025 my car decided to throw the code that said service high voltage system. I was on my way to drive my son to school. I have been driving for about two minutes and then the code showed up I called my dealership at 10 AM that morning and told them what was going on.

The battery failed at 2k miles and needed to be replaced. Both axles need to be replaced due to failed CV joint. There is clicking with turns.

High Voltage system error 2 days after it was determined that it was fixed at the dealership.

I was driving on the freeway when a few error lights came on—the Reduced Acceleration, Propulsion System Icon, and a turtle icon on the dashboard and I had to floor the accelerator pedal to maintain my speed. I then pulled over, and the vehicle wouldn’t shift into drive or reverse. It gave an error message saying “conditions not meet.” Eventually, the car started working again.

I purchased Honda Prologue Elite Model in May 2024. In around December, a warning sign "Service High Voltage System" message showed up. We left the EV for service twice since then and the first time the honda dealer mentioned that the A/C and Battery Sensors were in swapped positions and they fixed the issue by swapping positions and was set right.

I purchased the vehicle on January 27, 2025. The morning of Jan 29th, I had three error messages pop up. 1- Service High Voltage System 2- Service Vehicle Soon 3- Reduced Acceleration Drive With Cate The vehicle would not allow me to connect via Bluetooth.

show a "Service High Voltage System" message. The Honda Prologue we purchased in May 2024. We have left it with the dealership for the 3rd time now and problem kept coming back.

All car screens stopped working while I was driving. Nothing seemed to precipitate their going blank; however, because the car depends on those screens for basic information (speed, for example, turning on lights, setting one-pedal driving, etc.), the car lost some basic functionality when the screens went blank. I couldn't see how fast I was going.

The EV battery would not charge. There were 2 messages, but nothing to indicate the issue, except that it was unable to charge. Took it into a dealer for service who stated that the freon was low.

Service High Voltage Error came on and no heat was emitting from the HVAC. This is a valve malfunction that cannot be replaced in any timely manner and renders the car undriveable.

I turned on the car and backed out of my driveway and my infotainment and gauge cluster screens both went black. I pulled over to the side of the road because I could not see what my speed was and I couldn’t see what gear I was in. I restarted the car multiple times and it finally turned back on.

On 13 August 2024 I was driving my 2024 Honda Prologue when the DIC and infotainment screens went blank. At this time with no information displayed on any screen, the car was unsafe to operate. I drove the car straight to the local dealer, Tony Honda.

After charging my car from ~20% to 80% over the course of ~8 hours, I powered on the car, reversed out of my parking space, and began driving. Shortly after (<1 min), I noticed that both my Instrument Panel screen and my Infotainment screen had shut off and were black. I continued driving for another 2-3 minutes before pulling into a parking lot.

About 30 miles after starting a 1,500-mile road trip, the infotainment screen and driver instrument panel both went completely blank. After about 60 seconds, the system apparently rebooted, restoring both screens to normal operation.

19 the infotainment system and the instrument panels both went blank. I was driving away from my home. I touched a button on the steering wheel that controls the content of the screen that is the main instrument panel.

on 03/12/204 the car dashboard indicated "high voltage service" for my third time and it did not want to take a charge, I went to the dealership they took the car for days they gave it to me on 05/12/2024, they told me they found nothing, the same day I was driving around 8 p.m. the car gave me the same problem,

This vehicle is experiencing constant malfunctions with the infotainment system. It constantly flickers, freezes, and blacks out completely during normal driving conditions. This is prohibiting use of features controlled by the unit including charge settings and rear camera use.

At random times, usually when the battery is below 40% I will get warnings that say "reduced acceleration drive with car". I've own the car for a year (brand new) and this has happened at least half a dozen times or more.

The digital instrument cluster (dashboard screen) and the infotainment screen went black while I was driving. This meant I was unable to see my MHP or any critical information on my car. I was listening to music and first it stopped, then a moment later both screens went black.

I was driving my car and suddenly I received high voltage battery warning and I had to stop my car in between of freeway.

Vehicle charge will drop signficatinally when parked for over night. Car was charged to 100 % then dropped to 92% overnight. Car only gets 50-60% of mileage stated from the dash and app.

While driving to work both digital screens turned off, I have no data, no speedometer, nothing. I pulled over and turned off the car and it did not reset nor come back on.

Automatic braking is very sensitive, especially in the rain, and even more so when backing up in the rain. The unexpected braking happened to me at a rotary for no apparent reason, and numerous times in reverse. Service Vehicle Soon Light/(Propulsion System Failure) came on randomly at around 4000 miles.

GPS Navigation - The dashboard's Google GPS navigation has stopped functioning. OnStar System - The OnStar light remains red, indicating a potential issue with the system. CarPlay - offers to use Google Maps or Maps, however, when selecting Maps, the system returns the Google Maps.

The tire monitor system is not working at all, I have tried resetting it for hundreds of times. It will recaliber and show me the tire pressure on all wheels just for 5 min. And once I start driving it gives me warning again( tire monitor system service).

I was driving through a parking lot when I received the following warning messages “Brake System Failure,” “Service Stabilitrac,” “auto hold unavailable,” “ Brake assist failure. Press hard to brake. Speed limited.” I then tried to pull over in the parking lot and vehicle was extremely difficult to stop.

Was driving down highway 280 north last night (April 12, 2025) near Palo Alto and both screens went black. Safety issues: 1) I was not able to gauge what speed I was going since both the instrument cluster and the center screen were blank. 2) The maps and navigation informing me of my trip were no longer available.

I was driving and a warning popped up on my dashboard screen telling me that the "high voltage electrical system needed to be serviced" and another one followed that said "acceleration reduced drive with caution." At the same time my heat stopped working and only cold air would blow from the vents (it was a cold day so I did not test to see if the A/C was also broken).

Simply put the charging system will not stop at preset percentage and will charge to 100 percent most of the time. I would say it fails to stop and continues to 100 percent about 70 percent to the time. From what I understand charging to 100% on a daily basis can damage the battery and potentially cause a safety issue under certain circumstances, such as storage and temperature.

Both of my infotainment screens went off completely while driving and this is very frustrating and unsafe I can’t see my speedometer or navigation or anything else and this puts my safety in danger urgent urgent please investigate this matter asap Thanks

I was driving on the interstate and the infotainment and drivers dashboard display cut off. I attempted to turn the car off and back on and nothing happened.

After updating my Prologue and driving it for a few miles, I'm now seeing a message that says: "Service High Voltage System / Service vehicle soon." The car will not accept a charge at all and the heat/defroster will not work. It will only blow cold air (which may just be outside air circulating meaning full HVAC isn’t working).

Service High Voltage System warning. Have had this come up on my car and I have seen that this issue has happened to many Prologue owners. The issue is with the battery cooling system.

“Charge Door Open” warning appears on dashboard when the charge door is completely closed. This warning appears incessantly while driving. Additionally, “Service High Voltage Charging System” appears along with the “Charge Door Open” warning.

Mild weather, 48 degrees. driving home at night. Lights on dash start to go off: "Service vehicle soon" "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care" "Service High voltage" "Unable to charge" Heat stopped working and vehicle unable to charge.

The buttons for changing songs have not worked at random times after turning on the vehicle. Also the car has had some problems when it comes to detecting a vehicle in front causing the car to slow down when in adaptive cruise control

While driving on the gateway both my screens shut off. The one on my driver dash that displays my speed etc. my telematics screen also shut off.

While driving in traffic, the car unexpectedly applied the brakes and displayed a 'Service High Voltage System' warning on the dashboard. Shortly after, another message appeared: 'Service Vehicle Soon,' followed by 'Reduced Acceleration - Drive with Care.' The car isn't charging and lacks the speed needed to drive on the highway.

Vehicle restarted while on the freeway. My Child was in the car and was extremely frightened.

Multiple warnings came on dash -Service vehicle soon -Service high voltage -Reduce acceleration with care -Car with exclamation, batteries with exclamation, sing battery and a turtle. -Car unable to charge On-Demand Diagnostic information from on star.

Twice in the total 750 mileage on the Prologue, warnings have come on that state “Service High Voltage System" and "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care.” This occurred on 01/03/2025 at ~300 miles and again on 02/02/2025 ~750 miles. This error seems to be widespread with low-mileage Prologues, but Honda does not appear to be recalling to correct.

Propulsion System Failure light came on and vehicle lost all cabin heat. This occurred in winter (January) and since there is no heat all vehicle windows fog over, obscuring the view of the road and other drivers. All vehicle occupants are also at risk of exposure due to complete lack of heating in sub-freezing January temperatures.

This vehicle has remote features to lock, unlock and remote start the vehicle. However the app is not able to connect with the car often and the commands "'fail" which is a safety issue because it is an electric vehicle. So if the electrical or technological parts of the vehicle are failing, what else is going on.

I purchased a Honda Prolauge Touring. Radio and Turn signal sounds suddenly stopped. While driving, the sound indicates that the turn signal is out.

The turn signal sometime signals the opposite direction after the completion of a turn. For example, I'll signal for a left turn, make a left turn, and the Honda starts signaling a right turn for about 3 seconds.

Received multiple alerts including "service high voltage system", "service vehicle soon", and "cannot charge". The vehicle also reduced speed and function, which could have resulted in reduced driver safety. Vehicle will be brought in for service to determine cause.

For the second time in 7 months since I’ve owned the car, I need to get it serviced for an error on the panel names “System Voltage Error”. As a result, the car can’t be charged (EV), the heating doesn’t work in the middle of winter, and acceleration is reduced.

My sunroof has a constant issue when I fully open it and then try to close it. When I tried to close it the sunroof does close, but it immediately opens back up by itself. It takes me 5 to 10 tries to try to close it back up once it closes and you open it back up it does it again and it reopens by itself.

The dash and infotainment shut down and went completely blank screen while driving. No speedometer. No information on how fast I was going.

Anytime the headlights are turned on, the center console Infotainment system starts scrolling through random menus and initiating button presses on any option available in the menu it is on. It also becomes completely unresponsive to human button presses while this happens.

when you setup your EV to charge over night to 80 percent or what ever percentage it will charge more then what you programmed it to do....it will be more. Which can be very dangerous. It continues to do this since day one.

Both screens suddenly turned black while I was driving. I had no way to restart the screen, even after shutting off the car and turning back off. The two black screen remain on, but no way to see charging status, speed, control lights, etc.

I turned my car on and the screens were on, I put it in drive and both screens went black, I pulled over and I restarted the car multiple times, nothing would come on.
