FRIST THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT TO HONDA WHAT CAME OUT OF THAT VISIT WAS A REPARE BILL OF OVER 4400 00 DOLLARS THEN IT CAME BACK ON AFTER 3WKS. NOW IT IS THIS TAPPING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE.ALL ON THE CITY STREET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE LOWER CONTROL ARM DETACHED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STOP WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AWHILE BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED YOUNG HONDA AT 435-222-0589 (LOCATED AT 1855 MAIN ST, LOGAN, UT 84341) TO OBTAIN A QUOTE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 166,000.
VEHICLES PULLS VERY HARD TO THE RIGHT ALL THE TIME ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. WE HAVE TO HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALMOST A 20 DEGREE ANGLE TO THE LEFT TO COUNTER THE PULL TO THE RIGHT. WE TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THEY CLAIM THAT THE ALIGNMENT IS WITHIN THE MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS. I THINK THIS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE CAR WANTS TO CHANGE LANES BY ITSELF.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE BALL JOINT WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
IN 2010 I HAD TO HAVE 3 OUT OF THE 4 MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED ON MY ENGINE AND THEN LAST WEEK I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED TO REPLACE 2 OF THE MOTOR MOUNTS. I WAS TOLD BY THE HONDA SERVICE CENTER THIS IS NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ITEM AND THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO HAVE THEM REPLACED AGAIN 4 YEARS LATER. I'VE ALSO SEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT VARIOUS MODELS OF HONDA ODYSSEYS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. YOUR ENGINE SHAKES TERRIBLY AT START AND WHILE IDLING AND HAS A HARD KICK WHEN YOU START TO GO FROM BRAKING AND IDLING AND JERKS FORWARD WHICH I CAN ONLY ATTRIBUTE TO THIS PROBLEM. IT CAUSED ME TO BRAKE BECAUSE I THOUGHT MY ENGINE HAD FALLEN OUT OF MY VEHICLE OR WAS ABOUT TO AND IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY THIS CAN BE QUITE DANGEROUS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY HONDA AS I'VE SEEN IT MENTIONED ON NUMEROUS WEBSITES AND I HAVE NOTIFIED HONDA MYSELF JUST RECENTLY. I WOULD HOPE THEY WOULD LOOK INTO THIS. I AM NOT ABLE TO GET THIS FIXED AS IT COSTS NEARLY 1200$ EVERY TIME THIS OCCURS. *TR
PURCHASED CAR IN DECEMBER 2013. VEHICLE MAKES A RUMBLING SOUND ABOVE THE RADIO DASH BOARD WHEN CAR REACHES 30-35 MILES PER HOUR. TOOK CAR TO SERVICE AND WAS INFORMED THAT CAR NEEDED FRONT END ALIGNMENT AND THAT TIRES WERE NOT WEARING EVENLY. HAD FRONT END ALIGNMENT COMPLETED. CAR STILL MAKES RUMBLING SOUND. HAVE NOT HAD THIS EXPERIENCE ON PREVIOUS MODELS. SOUND IS ANNOYING. CONSIDERING ROTATING AND/OR REPLACING TIRES. WHAT THEN IF SOUND CONTINUES? *TR
IN A ROUTINE VIRGINIA STATE SAFETY INSPECTION A HONDA DEALER FAILED MY WIFE'S 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY VAN (50902 MILES) FOR TWO BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS (FRONT AND PASSENGER SIDE) AND A BURNED OUT BRAKE LIGHT. I DID NOT AND DO NOT BELIEVE THAT SUCH A NEW, LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE DEVELOPED BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY WIFE DROVE THE VAN GENTLY SINCE IT WAS NEW. BECAUSE THE PROJECTED REPAIR COSTS TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNTS, "CRACKED" COMPLIANCE BUSHINGS AND OTHER UNSPECIFIED BUSHINGS WERE EXPECTED TO BE SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS, I TOOK THE VAN TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP FOR A SECOND OPINION. THE INDEPENDENT SHOP DID ESTABLISH THAT THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT WAS BROKEN AND THAT THE OTHER ISSUES, HOWEVER, WERE SPURIOUS. THE INDEPENDENT SHOP AGREED TO REPAIR THE VAN FOR $368. I THINK THAT HONDA HAS IN THIS CASE DESIGNED AND PRODUCED FAULTY MOTOR MOUNTS (I THINK THAT EACH HONDA ODYSSEY ENGINE HAS 5 MOTOR MOUNTS). I ALSO THINK THAT HONDA SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL TO REPLACE THE FAULTY MOTOR MOUNTS AT NO COST TO THE VEHICLE'S OWNERS AND SHOULD REIMBURSE OWNERS (CURRENT AND PRIOR) FOR ANY RELATED REPAIR COSTS. SINCE A FAULTY MOTOR MOUNT TRIGGERED A REJECTION IN A VIRGINIA STATE SAFETY INSPECTION, THIS HONDA MOTOR MOUNT FAILURE ISSUE IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT NO CAUSE FOR FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38,000. UPDATED 03/28/13*LJ
FRONT WHEEL BEARING WENT BAD AT 40000. HAD IT REPLACED AT THE DEALERSHIP AT COST TO ME. DEALER SAID IT WAS THE RIGHT FRONT THAT WAS REPLACED EVEN THOUGH THE FEEL OF THE PROBLEM WAS FELT UNDER THE LEFT FRONT DRIVER SIDE. SEEMS VERY EARLY FOR A WHEEL BEARING TO GO BAD. LOGGING THIS IN CASE IT IS A BROADER ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL. *TR
WHEN I OPEN THE LIFTGATE IT DOES NOT HOLD UP. THE TAILGATE GAS STRUT HAS FAILED I ONLY HAVE 33,000 MILES ON IT. *TR
2007 HONDA ODYSSEY WITH 16,450 MILES HAD BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS FAIL- NOISE AND GRINDING FEEL TO VEHICLE. DEALER REPLACED BOTH FRONT BEARINGS UNDER WARRANTY. FAILURE OF BEARING COULD HAVE RESULTED IN WHEEL SEIZING. *TR
