Your radio is producing loud, constant static at maximum volume that you can't control, even when you turn the radio off—it only stops when you shut off the entire vehicle. This disorienting noise appears to be caused by a faulty radio head unit. The fix will likely involve replacing the entire radio head unit.

My stereo is making an awful static noise even when the audio is turned off. It seems to be a pretty common problem for Honda around 2016. It is very dangerous because while driving in rush hour the other day and it was raining I couldn't hear anything but very loud static.

After driving about 20-25 minutes, the speakers after working fine turn to all loud static even when turning the volume down. After the car is off for a bit, the speakers return to normal until driving again for 10-20 minutes. It’s so loud that you can’t hear anything and is very distracting

Electrical System,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your 2016 Honda Accord's engine stop/start system has shut down suddenly and without warning dozens of times while driving in traffic since September 2025, leaving you with no power to accelerate or control the vehicle. The problem has gotten worse over time and now includes repeated failures to start, requiring multiple tow trucks. A certified Honda dealer has visited five times but cannot find or fix the problem, and the vehicle continues to stall unexpectedly. Repairing this issue will likely require Honda to diagnose and replace faulty components in the engine stop/start and fuel system.

Unknown Or Other,engine,fuel/propulsion System →1 issue
Your car stalled and lost power multiple times while driving in traffic, with the engine shaking and sputtering before shutting down completely. The engine and oil warning lights came on briefly before each stall. After restarting and letting the car sit for about 10 minutes, it operated normally again. A Honda dealership diagnosed the issue as a failing fuel pump, even though your vehicle's VIN wasn't included in Honda's earlier fuel pump recall despite having the same symptoms.

Air Bags,seat Belts →1 issue
During a crash, your seatbelt system malfunctioned by detaching and pulling with excessive force instead of properly restraining you, causing severe injuries. The airbags also failed to deploy during the collision. You're reporting this as a potential safety defect because the seatbelt and airbag systems are critical for crash protection. An investigation into the restraint system and airbag deployment mechanism may be needed to identify why these safety systems failed.
