The contact was informed that the VSA module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the VSA module had failed. The contact was informed that the VSA module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 163,993.

WHEN PUSHING MY IGNITION BUTTON, MY CAR WON'T START, IT MAKES A CHOCKING NOISE. THIS CHOCKING NOISE HAPPENS ONE TO TWICE DAILY FOR THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. THE CAR USUALLY STARTS AFTER TWO TRIES OF PUSHING THE IGNITION BUTTON. THIS IGNITION FAILURE CAN HAPPEN FAILURE CAN HAPPEN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING OR EVEN WHEN MY CAR HAS BEEN IN USE ALL DAY.
