This failure triggered problems with your traction control and brake systems, compromising their function. The damage occurred without warning signs beforehand. Repair will likely require engine disassembly and replacement of the damaged internal components.

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Sierra. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 40 MPH the vehicle proceeded to jerk and shift into the lower gears, the vehicle's acceleration speed was reduced to 15 MPH. The service parking brake and the ESC light were illuminated. The contact proceeded to drive to their residence, whereupon parking the vehicle the contact proceeded to inspect the vehicle from outside, the contact noted that there was a distinct smell of something burning, and upon inspecting the rims of the vehicle they were very hot. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed the contact was advised that there was nothing to be found wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.
Driving on the highway coming home from brother in laws house and the truck suddenly popped check engine, brake service and ESC lights came on dashboard while engine power was reduced causing sluggish performance. Made it home and put a scan tool and pulled a cylinder 3 misfire. Replaced spark plug and confirm it’s not an ignition coil problem. Brought to dealer and was confirmed the DOD lifter failed in other words AFM. Overwhelmed and couldn’t do anything but to pay and get truck back to working order told go ahead for replacement of parts for nearly $6k.

THE VEHICLE ALSO EXPERIENCED A BRAKE FAILURE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ERRONEOUSLY DRIVE. DURING THE FAILURE, THE MESSAGES "TRAILER BRAKE FAILURE" AND "DO NOT DRIVER PAST 60 MPH" HAD MASSAGE HAD DISPLAYED. THE LOCAL DEALER BOB ROBINSON CHEVROLET (155 ROBINSON DR. TRIADELPHIA WV) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,100.
