I have this car with a coolanat leak into the Cylinder causing a misfire resulting in fuel/oil in cylinder and white smoke coming from the exhaust. I keep on having codes pop up and my cabin smells like burnt oil my kids are smelling this on a daily basis its bad for their health I know Ford knows about this problem.

In August 2023, brought my 2016 Ford Fusion SE ecoboost with 77,000 miles on it to Ford Dealership due to vehicle stalling on 3 different occasions within a 3 week period. Occurred at low speed while starting out. No warning lights came on.

There is an issue with the (evap) solenoid/associated sensor that causes the vehicle not to restart at unexpectable intervals and the fuel delivery system is also affected during fueling and seemingly during acceleration, at least. The key was recently replaced and association between the problem and the key reading mechanism is unspecified.

The antifreeze is leaking into the cylinders, fouling out the spark plug causing the engine to miss fire. With this happening, it's using antifreeze burning it out the exhaust pipe , which causes the engine to overheat. Please look into this, I heard it can blow the engine and it's expensive to replace

The check engine light came on in my vehicle and it was idling rough so I took it by autozone to get the diagnostic check. It showed p0300, cylinder misfire. I took my vehicle to the ford dealership but the check engine light had gone off so they changed the spark plugs thinking this would fix it.

On monday 08/10/2020 park my vehicle in the morning and then came back to the car in the afternoon. It had started and was able to move the shifter but with no result from the transmission and no gear indication on display. Vehicle had to be towed and taken to a ford dealership the next day.

I went to put my car in reverse to back out of a parking lot and when I went to put it in drive the vehicle did not move from reverse, almost resulting in a crash. I then tried to shift to park and it still remained in reverse. Shaking no power won't accelerate and jerking when backing up

Similar to issues others were having with the throttle control placing the car into "limp" mode, it would appear that this is what happened yesterday as my wife was driving the car on a major highway near pittsburgh (376 west, near the split of 79 north/south) with me in the passenger seat, and three kids under the age of 9 in the back seat.

While driving today, I suddenly lost the ability to accelerate. The vehicle began to vibrate abnormally, and then the power went out. I began to smell smoke, and I almost hit the vehicle in front of me because I couldn't control my car!

The vehicle starts running rough, steering becomes loose, the wrench light comes on with the message 'check owners manual', then the engine stalls. This happens when the car is in motion. It has happened twice at low speed ~35 MPH and once at high speed ~70 MPH.

I was driving my car when I saw an emergency sign on the dashboard telling to safely park. then the car could only drive using the power generated by the electric battery and when the battery went out of power the car could not switch to gas to use the engine power I was on san mateo bridge when it happen I could feel the car rolling back on a park gear.

My driver door lock light will not glow when I lock my vehicle. Transmission is slipping and has a recall on it. Front brakes has a recall.

When we put the car into reverse there are times the transmission jerks a bit.

Was in reverse to enter a parking spot, shifted down to drive (lever moved to D) but car stayed in Reverse. I could freely move the lever from Drive to Reverse but the transmission would not shift out of reverse. I moved car to parking spot, moved lever to park (car never shifted out of reverse), put the emergency brake on, then shut the car off.

Car is in park but the dash is showing the car is still in drive. Unable to move shifter at all.

Gear bushing issue not included in 2016 Ford Fusion Recall in 2019. Car was in a hand wash car was when the bushing broke and rolled into reverse. The car was turned off and then would not start because the gear shifter would not allow the car to go into park even though the shifter appeared to be in Park.

Placed car in park and turned if off. When I took my foot off the brake it started rolling away. The vehicle would not start saying it was not in park.

I put my car in park and it stayed in drive even though I remove the key and there was no chime or warning. It would roll away unless the emergency break was applied. it seems to be the same exact issue as recall numbers: 18S20, 19S16 and 18V471.

The shifter cable has degraded and detached from the transmission, allowing the transmission to be in a shift state other than what the shifter lever shows. Although there is an existing recall for this exact issue, my vehicle falls outside of the specified manufacture dates and Ford is unwilling to remedy the issue.

129k miles. Transmission slipping out of gear at 70 +/- MPH. Pulled into gas station, allowed to cool for 1hr.

I was getting ready to leave to work my car has been parked outside my house I got in tried starting it and dont want to turn on I took it to autozone to have battery checked and battery is good it will start if I get a jump I called my mechanic and he says it could be my alternator I dont see how I barley got the car I seen that there was some issues with the alternator on my car

The transmission upshifts very hard. So hard it throws driver and passenger(s) backwards.this is most pronounced at speeds less than 30 MPH when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd. Periodically, it also shifts very hard from 5th to 6th at constant speeds between 45 and 55.

I am frustrated because I read online there has been a recall on this since 2018 and I was never notified. My 2016 ford fusion titanium rolled away from where it was parked on a flat concrete surface. It went down the driveway, across the street, and approximately 30 to 40 feet into a wooden area before trees stopped it. The car needs the key in close enough proximity to start.

At random times when the car is departing on city streets or highway, the car would stop shifting out of second gear. I would manually shift it to neutral then back to drive and it would drive normal through the first gear then shift to second gear and stay in second gear until I stop and repeat the process, first gear then second gear then stuck and repeat.

Takata recall, when stationary and shifting from park to drive it is very harsh and grinds (it sounds like metal on metal),, then from reverse to drive it grinds even more.

'takata recall' I was driving to a friends house and as I was pulling in their driveway to park. I push my gear to park but my car goes in reverse gear when I put it in to park gear and so I tried to move my gear shift to the gear I wanted but it wouldn't move any more. So I cut my car off and when I cut it off it kept rolling forward so I just pulled my emergency brake and left it as is.

On one occasion, the driver put the car in park but it was actually in reverse. The second time it happened, my daughter was in a mcdonald's drive through and the car was in drive but switched over to reverse.

Vehicle shifts hard and slips when shifting into 2nd and 3rd gears when the transmission is cold

My vehicle wouldn't go into gear and after look at why this happening found that the bushing that attaches the tranmission shifter cable to the transmission degraded causing this issue. Also, while the key was out of the ignition my car still can move when it indicate on the shifter its in park. I had to apply the emergency brake to keep the car for not moving.

My shifter cable is detached from my transmission however my vehicle is not included in the current recall.

Ford fusion shifting cable comes off due to bushing being deteriorated causing car to go in reverse while in park. Due to this unofficial recall my car went backwards into a building uncontrollably.

Pulled into driveway at home. The car had stopped, and I went to put it in park from drive. Upon movement the shifter became stuck into reverse and on the dash, it read reverse, but the shifter was pushed up to the (p) park mark.

The etb (electronic throttle body) has failed twice. Once causing complete mechanical failure, the other causing the vehicle to go into limp home mode. I've read thousands of similar reports about 2013-2016 fusions doing the same thing.

Lost all power to the vehicle while going 45 to 50 MPH. Terrible situation to be in and would not want this to happen to others. Ford knows this is an issue and needs to deal with it better
