Your transmission may suddenly slip out of gear during acceleration, causing the car to lurch forward and stop accelerating—a serious safety hazard, especially on highways. When this happens, you have to stop accelerating completely for a few seconds, then try again to regain power. The issue reportedly starts around 50,000 miles and mechanics have indicated transmission replacement may be necessary to fix it.

SHIFT CABLE, DRIVER PARKED VEHICLE THE KEY WOULD NOT RELEASE. DRIVER COULD NOT LEAVE THE VEHICLE. DRIVER CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE AS TO WHY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT LET THE DRIVER TO REMOVE THE KEYS, VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS STILL BEING IN THE PARKED POSITION. DRIVER WAS THEN TOLD THE SHIFT CABLE WAS CAUSING THE ISSUES AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO MISINTERPRET WHAT GEAR IT WAS IN. THE VEHICLE HAS TO HAVE IS THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO JUMPING AND JERKING WHEN DRIVEN.
TOYO ECLIPSE RADIAL TIRE FAILURE. VEHICLE IS FORD FUSION 2006; TRAVELING STRAIGHT AT 70 MPH ON HIGHWAY ENCOUNTERED REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE FAILURE. TIRE RUBBER TREAD IN CONTACT WITH ROAD SURFACE FRAGMENTED AND COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM SIDE WALL.
HAS THERE BEEN ANY COMPLAINTS ON THE DOOR HANDLES BREAKING? I JUST HAD TO HAVE THE DRIVERS REPLACED. IT BROKE WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE AND WOULD NOT LOCK. THE BACK SEAT HANDLES ARE ABOUT TO BREAK. NEED SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS. IT IS NOT CHEAP TO FIX THE HANDLES.
2006 FORD FUSION DRIVER SIDE (FRONT LEFT) DOOR HANDLE IS PLASTIC AND BREAKS OFF AT THE GEAR RATCHET COG LEAVING THE DRIVER UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR EXCEPT FROM OUTSIDE THE AUTO. POOR MATERIAL AND DESIGN OF THE HANDLE IS A TROUBLE SPOT THAT MANY FUSION OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING. THIS SHOULD BE A MAJOR ITEM TO HAVE A RECALL IN EFFECT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS ITEM AND IS IN ALMOST ALL YEAR FUSIONS.
NOW MONTHS AFTER FIRST RECEIVING MY RECALL NOTICE TO CONTACT MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP (WHICH I DID AT THAT TIME) I STILL CANNOT GET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE PART REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG INFLATOR. I REALIZE THE SITUATION OF THE INFLATOR MANUFACTURER BEING OVERRUN WITH THE REPLACEMENT ORDERS, BUT OUR NEED STILL EXISTS AS CUSTOMERS FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR FAMILIES. FORD HAS AN ETHICAL AND FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY TO ITS CUSTOMERS IN THIS. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO ASSIST WE CUSTOMERS LEFT WITH POTENTIAL HARM TO OUR FAMILIES? THANK-YOU.
REAR DRIVER'S SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE HAS FAILED. CANNOT OPEN DOOR FROM THE INSIDE, REAR DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON AND DOME LIGHT WILL COME ON AND STAY ON. THE LATTER TWO ISSUES ARE SPORADIC. VEHICLE IS STOPPED WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR. VEHICLE IS RUNNING WHEN LIGHT MAY COME ON. DOME LIGHT SAYS ON WHEN PARKED.
MY WIFE WENT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE INTERIOR HANDLE GAVE WAY. THE HANDLE STILL OPERATES, BUT YOU MUST NOW MANUALLY LOCK THE DOOR. A FEW WEEKS LATER I WENT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THAT DOOR HANDLE BROKE COMPLETELY. NOW I HAVE TO LOWER MY WINDOW AND USE THE OUTSIDE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DRIVERS DOOR. LAST MONTH THE REAR DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE STOPPED LOCKING AUTOMATICALLY AND ELECTRONICALLY. YOU MUST MANUALLY LOCK THAT DOOR AS WELL.
INTERIOR DOOR LOCK RELEASE HAVE REPLACED 4 TIMES ALL FOUR DOORS! TO EXIT CAR I HAVE TO PUT THE WINDOW DOWN AND USE THE OUT SIDE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR TO EXIT VEHICLE . THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF AFTER AND ACCIDENT THERE WAS NOT POWER TO PUT THE WINDOW DOWN TO OPEN THE DOOR!

INTERIOR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE PREVENTING THE ABILITY TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE.
MILLAGE AND DATE ARE APPROXIMATE BUT VERY CLOSE. THE DRIVERS DOOR INSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE, THIS FAILURE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN THE CAR DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. I HAVE PICTURES DOCUMENTING THE FAILURE WHICH SHOW THE LOCATION OF THE FAILURE. THIS COULD BECOME VERY DANGEROUS IF THE HANDLE BROKE IN A SITUATION WHERE AN EMERGENCY EXIT WAS NEEDED. I HAVE CALLED FORD AND REGISTERED A COMPLAINT WITH THEM ABOUT THIS, I HAVE ALSO DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FROM TALKING TO MY LOCAL DEALER I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS AN ENTIRELY ALL TO COMMON OCCURRENCE. I AM JUST NOW GETTING AROUND TO FIXING THIS BECAUSE THE DOOR LATCH HAS NOW STOPPED WORKING (2/13/2011, ~38.000MI), I AM ASSUMING THE FAILURE OF THE DOOR LATCH IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE BROKEN INTERIOR HANDLE AND LETTING IT GO WITHOUT BEING REPAIRED.
KEYS CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM IGNITION BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE SHIFTER MECHANISM. BUTTON BECOMES STUCK DUE TO POORLY MANUFACTURED PIECE AND CAR CAN SHIFT OUT OF GEAR AND ROLL AWAY AND CAUSE INJURY. KEYS CAN'T BE REMOVED, DOORS CAN'T BE LOCKED. $400+ TO FIX AND NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY, EVEN THOUGH A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED REGARDING THE PART? THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A RECALL AS IT IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALED HUNDREDS OF OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! HAVE NOT REPAIRED THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE LIKE I SAID, IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY AND I CAN'T AFFORD IT. THIS IS DANGEROUS! I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR!
