I JUST GOT THIS CAR, HAD FRONT END CHECKED AND I GOT TO REPLACE SWAY BARS, CONTROL ARMS, TIE RODS, BOTH INNER AND OUTER. CAR ONLY HAS 129K MI ON IT. NOT TO MUCH THE CAR CONSTANTLY SWAYS NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER IS. MY TPMS IS ALSO THROWING ERRORS.

2010 FORD FOCUS CAN'T BE DRIVEN IF THE ROAD IS WET. THE BACKEND TRY'S TO THROW YOU TO THE LEFT. IT HAD NEW TIRES WHEN I GOT IT. HAD IT ONE YEAR PUT ANEW SET ON AND NOW IT NEEDS ANOTHER SET. MY BOSS BOUGHT IT NEW AND HAD TO PUT 3 SETS ON. HE NEVER FOUND WHAT CAUSED IT TO THROW THE BACK END. I'M GETTING READY TO TAKE TO TRY TO FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. WHEN I BOUGHT THE TIRES I WAS TOLD MY TIRES WERE WEARING OUT FROM THE INSIDE OUT. THEY ARE GOING TO CHECK IT OUT BEFORE NEW TIRES ARE PUT ON.

I HAVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW NOW HAS 88K MILES I HAVE PUT LITERALLY 4 SET OF TIRES ON THIS AND HAVE HAD A REAR ALIGNMENT KIT DONE TO IT .THIS CAR SWAYS REALLY BAD AT SPEEDS OF OVER 65 MPH AND WHEN THERE IS HARDLY ANY WIND AT ALL . VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW OR RAIN . THE CAR CAUSED ME TO HAVE A ACCIDENT THAT COST MY INSURANCE COMPANY OVER 2000 TO REPAIR DUE TO THE SWAYING OF SPEEDS OVER 65 MPH . I HAVE A HORRIBLE THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END SUSPENSION AREA WHICH I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE I HAD BAD TIRES SO REPLACED TO BAD THUMPING SO REPLACED WHEELS STILL BAD AND WHEEL BEARINGS AND STILL BAD THUMPING IDK WHAT TO DO THIS IS SO ANNOYING I WANT FORD TO PAY FOR ALL OF THIS AND TO RECALL THESE CARS THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THERE WERE METAL FRAGMENTS EMITTING FROM THE TIRES. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN MAKING A TURN, THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT SHAKES UNCONTROLLABLY. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS ALSO A LEAKAGE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE STRUT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,045. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

I PURCHASED THIS 2010 FORD FOCUS SEL BRAND NEW ON 12/31/09. SOMETIME IN 2012 (I ESTIMATE AROUND 12/13/12), I PURCHASED A NEW SET OF TIRES (APPROXIMATELY $600) AS I NOTICED THE CAR SLIDING AT STOPS AND SKIPPING ON ACCELERATION. I HAD THE CAR IN A FORD DEALERSHIP (JIM KEIM FORD, HILLIARD, OH) AND WAS SHOWN THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR AND HOW THE TIRES WERE WEARING UNEVENLY, WEARING ON THE INSIDE. INTO THE NEXT YEAR, I AGAIN STARTED NOTICING THE UNUSUAL WEAR PATTERN AND HAD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER SET OF TIRES ON 6/27/14 AT 56,000 MILES, $625. ON 6/24/14 I ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE SWAY BAR LINKS REPLACED, $271. I CANNOT FIND THE RECEIPT FOR THE FIRST TIRE PURCHASE, BUT BOB SUMEREL TIRES (614)237-6325 WOULD HAVE PURCHASE RECORD OF BOTH TIRE SETS. MY CAR ONLY HAS 58,000 MILES ON IT NOW AND FOR IT TO BE ON ITS THIRD SET OF TIRES DEFINITELY SAYS EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR. THIS IS ALSO VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING WITH THESE TIRES WEARING AND IS A CONSTANT WORRY WITH ALL THE CHECKING I DO TO MAKE SURE THE TIRES ARE OK TO DRIVE ON. I WOULD LIKE THIS MONEY REFUNDED (APPROXIMATELY $1500). I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR THE SECOND SET OF TIRES AND THE SWAY BAR LINKS IF YOU NEED TO SEE THEM. THANK YOU. *TR

TOOK IT TO DEALER AGAIN AND NOW THEY DAY IT NEEDS A REAR ADJUSTMENT KIT THAT COST $240.00 DOLLARS AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. THE SERVICE CONSULTANT SAID IT WAS A FACTORY DEFECT BUT FORD SAYS IT ISN'T AND THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR IT. ALSO I TOOK IT IN BECAUSE IT MAKES A LOUD THUMP WHEN I HIT A BUMP. I TOLD THEM IT SOUNDS LIKE SHOCKS ARE BAD BUT THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH CAR.

I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEM AS COMPLAINT FILED ODI10307817. I WOULD HAVE A LOUD NOISE LIKE THE CAR SUSPENSION WAS BOTTOMING OUT WHEN GOING OVER MODERATE BUMPS. I ALSO HAD EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR ON FRONT TIRES AT ONLY 32000 MILES, FRONT TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED. FORD SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OF BOTTOMING OUT AFTER MUCH COMPLAINING FORD FINALLY FIXED EVERYTHING BUT SAID THE FRONT END WAS OUT OF ALIGNMENT. WHEN ASKED WHAT WAS DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM WAS INFORMED THAT THE SUBFRAME HAD TO BE ADJUSTED AND BECAUSE OF THAT AN ALIGNMENT HAD TO BE PERFORMED. I EVEN FOUND ON FORD'S WEBSITE A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THERE SERVICE TECHNICIANS FOR THE LOUD NOISE WHEN BOTTOMING OUT. *TR
