Your car's rear window shattered and broke into pieces on its own while the vehicle was parked, with no warning or impact. This happened without any accident or collision involved. The repair will likely require replacing the entire rear window assembly.

Your rearview camera display intermittently goes blank when you put the car in reverse or drive. The screen will sometimes show an image and sometimes display nothing, making it difficult to see what's behind or in front of your vehicle when backing up or driving forward.

Your backup camera stopped working in November 2025 and displays only a black screen. The dealership says the vehicle isn't covered under a recall and won't repair it for free. Getting the camera repaired or replaced will likely involve either replacing the camera unit itself or diagnosing an electrical connection issue in the backup camera system.

Your backup camera isn't working — it now shows only a no-camera symbol on your screen. The camera initially displayed an upside-down image, then became blurry and flickering before stopping entirely. While your vehicle year matches a previous recall for this issue, your specific VIN doesn't appear on the recall list. The fix will likely involve replacing or recalibrating the backup camera and its wiring harness.

My back up camera was working one minute and than the next to completely stopped working!
My vehicle, despite never displaying any warning lights or previous issues, unfortunately experienced a sudden failure while I was driving my children home. The car abruptly stopped functioning in the middle of the road, which nearly resulted in a collision with other vehicles, leaving us stranded as other cars passed by. I have since contacted Dodge and discovered online reports of transmission problems with the 2019 model, although, for reasons unknown, my specific model year is not listed. This was very dangerous and I am stuck with the repairs on a car I have not had long.
Since we purchased our journey in 2019 the backup camera will either stop working, show upside down images or completely stop functioning, took to dealer and was told software update would resolve it, they did something but nothing fixed it
Windshield is coated with a plastic to prevent rock chips. The wipers have grooved the plastic. If the sun is shining and we were to try to clean the windshield it would be very hard to see the road. Seems like a manufacturing defect.
The backup camera fails to work daily. It started out once in a while. Then it became more and more frequent. Every once in a while it will come on, but only for a few seconds. The image may or may not be upside-down. This has been reported with other 2019 Dodge Journey vehicles.
Back up camera stopped working
My backup camera is a safety concern because it does not work. Also, my headlights are defective because moisture gets into them. These issues should be recalled.
My driver side head rest deployed without an accident
Since we purchased the vehicle in 2019 the backup camera would spoetacticly stop working (black screen with a camera and line through it) or have the camera image upside down.. When we took it into our local dealer, they said it was a software issue updated and said it was fixed.... But we've still have the issue and now they say the camera is faulty and want us to pay out of pocket for a replacement as well as the work and all else... This is a major safety issue and been plaguing Dodge vehicles.
The back up camera has stopped working, sometimes it is a black screen, other times it's just a series of colors with no image. This makes it hard to back up safely.

Back up camera is upside down, blurry or does not work, when in reverse
With less than 29000 miles the backup camera has failed. While trying to back up and use rear view mirror it’s almost impossible to see what’s behind the vehicle. Dodge says this vehicle is out of warranty because of over 36 months. What’s it take 10-12 kids to be backed over in-order to issue recalls. There’s numerous others complaining about this. Please in the interest of SAFETY please consider recall on this. I thank you in advance for safety. [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
While driving I came to a stop sign on a hill and the vehicle shut off on its own and started rolling backwards down the hill. I tried to brake but it wouldn't let me so I was forced to throw it into park so it would stop. This is the second time this has happened where the car shut off on its own while in drive.
