Owner-Reported Issues (6 of 6)

Electrical System1 issue
criticalELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Filed: Aug 2025

Your infotainment screen frequently goes blank and restarts repeatedly while driving, making your navigation and backup camera unavailable when you need them most. This is especially dangerous when reversing, since you lose camera visibility. You've tried the recommended soft reset and multiple dealership visits, but the problem keeps happening — wiring harness replacements haven't solved it.

Suspension,electrical System,back Over Prevention1 issue
highSUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION
Filed: Mar 2026

Your infotainment system frequently reboots and the screen goes black or freezes, requiring you to hold the power button until the Dodge logo appears to restart it. Your backup camera freezes when you shift from reverse to drive, staying stuck for about 4 minutes and preventing the rear cross-traffic alert from working during that time. The backup camera is also slow to switch back to the normal infotainment display. Fixing this will likely require a software update or replacement of the infotainment system unit.

NHTSA #: 11724254
Electrical System,forward Collision Avoidance1 issue
highELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Filed: Jan 2026

Your Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Forward Collision Avoidance systems turn off unexpectedly while driving, with a yellow warning light appearing to notify you the system is not working. The warning light also appears randomly even when you haven't activated these safety features, and you're told to pull over and restart the vehicle to get them working again. This has happened repeatedly since you purchased the vehicle in March, creating a safety concern especially in heavy traffic, though the dealer found no diagnostic code to perform repairs.

NHTSA #: 11709649
Visibility/wiper1 issue
highVISIBILITY/WIPER
Filed: Dec 2025

Your windshield has a deformation that creates a "ghosting" effect, especially noticeable at night, where lights and objects appear doubled or distorted. This causes eye strain and makes it difficult to focus on the road, affecting your ability to see clearly while driving. The issue persists even after one windshield replacement. Fixing this will require installing a new windshield that doesn't have the same optical deformation.

Fuel/propulsion System1 issue
highFUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Filed: Nov 2025

Your 2025 Durango's fuel filler door doesn't lock, even when the vehicle is locked, making it easy for someone to steal fuel. The fuel filler opening has no cap—just a rubber seal that expands when you insert the nozzle—and unlike previous Dodge models, there's no interior button or backup cable to secure the door. You're concerned that if the vehicle rolls or tips on its side, fuel could leak or spill, potentially causing a fire.

NHTSA #: 11699398
Fuel System, Gasoline,electrical System1 issue
highFUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Filed: Jul 2025

Your Durango occasionally stalls without warning while driving at various speeds or stopping, forcing you to restart the engine to continue. Your dealer identified a faulty fuel canister and radio as the likely causes. Fixing this will involve replacing the fuel canister and radio components.

NHTSA #: 11672832
