Your truck suddenly stalled while driving, which was frightening and dangerous. Even after a mechanic diagnosed and fixed multiple engine components—including the idle air control, MAP sensor, throttle position sensor, ignition coil, distributor, and canister purge valve—your truck continues to stall unexpectedly while driving. The underlying cause may not have been fully identified yet, and further diagnostic testing or component replacement may be needed to resolve the stalling issue.

Your vehicle stalled while you were driving it. When you took it to a dealer, they found that three separate components had failed: the transmission neutral switch, the fuel gauge, and the alternator. The vehicle was not repaired at that time. This combination of electrical and transmission failures may have contributed to the stalling.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MAT SENSOR, CAM SENSOR, SPARK PLUGS, AND MULTIPLE PARTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 155,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE STARTED MAKING A LOUD HUMMING NOISE IN THE REAR END COMING FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL AT AROUND 30 MPH, AND GETS LOUD WHILE INCREASING SPEED. DEALERSHIP WANTS $1200 JUST TO INSTALL A NEW ONE, PRICE DOES NOT REFLECT THE $2500 REAR DIFFERENTIAL. WIDESPREAD PROBLEM, AND NO ACTION I BEING TAKEN. VEHICLE STOPPED RUNNING WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. ENGINE SHUT DOWN TO 400 (FOUR HUNDRED) RPMS. PULLED TO SIDE OF HIGHWAY LUCKILY AND ENGINE SHUT OFF. WOULD NOT START. I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 12 YEARS. SOMETHING STARTED SMOKING AND POSSIBILITY OF FIRE WAS A MAJOR CONCERN. *TR

SINCE PURCHASE OF 2000 (NEW) DODGE DURANGO 5.9L 4 WHEEL DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES AT GREAT AMOUNTS OF COST. I RARELY USE 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND TAKE CARE OF EACH REQUIRED SERVICE. ON THE INTERNET I NOTICE SEVERAL SIMILAR/SAME COMPLAINTS. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT STUCK ON AND THE TRANSMISSION IS STUCK IN 4 WHEEL WITH NO INDICATION OF GOING INTO 2 WHEEL/NEUTRAL OR OTHER WISE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE I REVERSED HEARD A CLUNK. THOUGHT I HIT SOMETHING SAW NOTHING THAT I COULD HAVE HIT. PUT IT INTO DRIVE AND DROVE FOR A FEW MINUTES HAD TO BACK UP AGAIN AND FOUND I HAD NO REVERSE. I WAS ABLE TO GET WHERE I NEEDED BUT FOUND THAT THE FORWARD GEARS WERE NOW NOT COOPERATING. CALLED TRANSMISSION SHOPS AND EVERY ONE OF THEM STATED THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR DODGE TRANSMISSIONS ESPECIALLY THOSE IN THE DURANGO. IT IS A 2000 DODGE DURANGO WITH ABOUT 150000. I BELIEVE IF A TOYOTA OR AN OLDER DODGE CALL LAST MORE THAN 250000 THEN THESE NEWER WAS SHOULD LAST LONGER WITH OUR SUPPOSED BETTER TECHNOLOGY. *TR

THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. HE BELIEVES THAT IF THE VEHICLE FLIPPED OVER, THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 78,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE TRANSMISSION MADE A SUDDEN SHIFT PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT AND WHEN EVALUATED BY THE MECHANIC THE ONLY ERROR CODE ADMITTED WAS THAT OF THE TRANSMISSION. HOWLING NOISE COMING FROM REAR DIFFERENTIAL. INSPECTED BY DODGE DEALERSHIP, SERVICE WRITER SAID CARRIER ASSEMBLY FAILED CAUSING DIFFERENTIAL TO BE DAMAGED AND ENTIRE REAR AXLE HAD TO BE REPLACED. *TR

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE RUNNING, A CHILD CLIMBED INTO THE DRIVER'S SEAT, AND MOVED THE COLUMN GEAR SHIFT ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARDS AND CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, BUT THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED MODERATE DAMAGE. THE POLICE WERE ON THE SCENE, AND A REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER TO AWAIT FURTHER INSPECTION BY A FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE.

DT: THE CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER COULD FEEL THE VEHICLE PULSATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD ACT AS IF IT WAS KICKING IN AND OUT OF GEAR. THE PROBLEM IS WITH A BAND THAT IS BREAKING OFF BECAUSE THE LINING HAS DETACHED. THE PROBLEM STARTED IN JANUARY 2005. WHEN THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP THEY HAD TO REBUILD THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION. *AK *MR
CHRYSLER HAS HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION ON THE DURANGO AND DAKOTA WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER OVERHEATING CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO NOT SHIFT PROPERLY OR AT ALL. A SIMPLE FIX WOULD BE FOR CHRYSLER TO INSTALL AN ADEQUATE OIL COOLER. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE VEHICLES AND THE COMPANY IS WELL AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. NOW MY VEHICLE AT 94,000 WITH ALL SERVICES DONE PROPERLY AND ON TIME ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTORER IS COSTING ME $1500.00 TO FIX. WHEN I ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER WHY CHRYSLER HAS NOT HAD A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM HIS RESPONSE WAS BECAUSE IT WOULD COST $1100 PER VEHICLE TO FIX. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE TO LET OTHER CONSUMERS KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH OVERHEATING I COULD HAVE HAD ANOTHER COOLING SYSTEM INSTALL FOR LESS THAN $100.
4 WHEEL DRIVE TRANSFER CASE FAILS TO SHIFT FROM 4 WHEEL HI TO 2 WHEEL DRIVE. TRANSMISSION REMAINS LOCKED IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE. VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO 4 WHEEL HI WITHOUT INCIDENT AT A SPEED OF 10MPH. VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT BACK INTO 2 WHEEL DRIVE WITH THE VEHICLE IN PARK, NEUTRAL, DRIVE, OR TURNED OFF. THIS IS BOTH A SAFETY BULLETIN AND A RECALL ISSUE. UPON CONTACTING DAIMLER CHRYSLER, THEY STATED THE VIN DOES NOT FALL WITHIN THE RECALL AND REFUSED ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE.*AK
THE YOKE ON THE FRONT OF THE DRIVESHAFT BROKE CAUSING THE DRIVESHAFT TO FALL OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS JUST STARTING OFF FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THIS OCCURRED. *AK
WHEN THE TRANSMISSION GEARS SLIP IT WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO HESITATE BEFORE ACCELERATING. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
I HAVE A 2000 DODGE DURANGO THAT HAS 109,000 MILES. TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT 75 MPH, MY TRANSMISSION DROPPED FROM 5TH GEAR TO 1ST/2ND GEAR CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE ENDING UP IN THE MEDIAN. UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP IN TOPEKA, THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION SOLENOID (WHICH I WAS TOLD USUALLY GOES OUT AROUND 100,000 MILES)(I BELIEVE THIS WAS THE PART, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT CONTROLLED ALL SHIFTING BASED ON PRESSURES INSIDE THE HOUSING) AND TOLD ME THAT NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. LESS THAN 80 MILES AFTER RECEIVING THIS SERVICE, THE SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A TWO-LANE HIGHWAY AT APPROX. 65 MPH. I, AGAIN, LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE, INITIALLY WEST-BOUND, AND ENDED UP NEARLY GETTING IMPACTED ON MY PASSENGER SIDE BY AN 18 WHEELER BEFORE COMING TO REST IN THE EAST-BOUND DITCH. THIS TIME, THE COMPLETE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED BY THE TOPEKA DEALERSHIP. I HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE "OLD TRANSMISSION" MINUS ANY PARTS THAT REQUIRED A CORING FEE (THE DEALERSHIP STATED THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO TAKE THESE PARTS, EVEN AFTER OFFERING TO PAY THE CORING FEE). THE DEALERSHIP EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PART WAS A TEMPORARY FIX AND "COULD HAVE LASTED UP TO 2 YEARS, BUT FOR YOU IT ONLY LASTED 1 WEEK." *NM
TRANSFER CASE FAILED TWICE. AS A RESULT, VEHICLE BECAME INOPERABLE. *AK
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WENT OUT COMPLETELY AFTER 58,000 MILES, JUST UNDER 5 YEARS OF USE. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED REGULARLY FOR ALL RECOMMENDED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PER VEHICLE HANDBOOK. IN ADDITION, IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR TRANSMISSION CHECK-UP ONCE DURING THE FIRST 36,000 MILES AND WAS INFORMED THAT EVERYTHING WAS OKAY. I STILL FELT THERE WAS A PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A HIGH PITCHED WHINNING NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. ALSO TRANSMISSION SEEMED LIKE IT WAS SLIPPING.
TRANSMISSION JUST STOPPED WORKING. I ONLY HAD 49000 MILES ON MY 2000 DODGE DURANGO WHEN I WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT STOPPED SHIFTING. LOST ALL POWER TO THE DRIVE SYSTEM. *AK PER TRANSMISSION SHOP IN THE AREA AND ALL OVER THE USA THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM WITH THE 518 TRANSMISSION. THERE IS A CHECK VALUE IN THE COOLER LINE THAT WILL PUG UP AND CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO OVER HEAT AND BURN OUT THE CLUCH. DODGE KNOWS THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM AND HAVE REPLACED MANY TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRENTY. WENT THE TRANSMISSION IS REPLACE THEY PUT IN AN UPGRADE KIT FOR THE COOLING LINE AND THE VALUE IS TAKEN OUT PER DODGES INSTRUTIONS. THE TORK CONVERTOR IS REPLACED WITH A NEW STILE THAT DOES NOT FLOT AND DOES NOT PUT MENTAL PATRS INTO THE FLUEDED THAT PLUGS THE CHECK VALUE. THE ONLY GOOD THING THERE IS THAT I WAS NOT IN CHICAGO OR SOME OTHER BIG CITY DURRING RUSH HOUR. OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN BIG TROUBLE WITH NO WAY TO GET OFF THE ROAD.
TRANSMISSION "GRABBING" AND "SLIPPING" IN ALL GEARS. MOST NOTICABLE ON THE HIGHWAY. TRANSMISSION GOES FROM OVERDRIVE TO ONE AND SOMETIMES TWO LOWER GEARS AT HIGHWAY SPEED. VEHILCLE WILL JUMP AND SPUTTER. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER WHO DID NOT GET IT REPAIRED. IT WAS ALSO TAKEN TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC, WHO SAYS IT'S A LEMON. (I HAVE NO FAITH IN THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE GARBAGE AFTER THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE NOT FIGURED MY FIANANCING CORRECTLY ABD HIT ME WITH A $975 ADDITIONAL FEE.) ELLENVILLE DODGE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY FAILED. WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 25 MPH AND THEN IT JUST WOULD NOT GO AT ALL. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. PLEASE PROVIDE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. *JB

WHILE THE ENGINE WAS IDLING THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE INTO DRIVE WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKE. AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD COLLIDING WITH A PARKED VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT "THE BRAKE DISENGAGEMENT FEATURE IS NOT ON THE VEHICLE". *LA THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THIS SAFETY FEATURE WAS NOT INSTALLED ON DODGE VEHICLE'S UNTIL 2001. *NM
THE OVER DRIVE WILL ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE BY ITSELF,THEN THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE OVERDRIVE SOLENOID. THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO THE PRESSURE BOOST VALVE COVER PLATE HOLES NOT BEING BIG ENOUGH. THERE'S A TSB 211100 ON THIS ISSUE, IN WHICH IT INDICATED THAT THE DEALERSHIP WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING PLATE WITH A PLATE THAT HAS BIGGER HOLES TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *NM
I HAVE A 2000 DODGE DURANGO R/T. I ONLY HAVE 31,000 MILES ON MY DURANGO AND THE TRANSMISSION IS POURING FLUID OUT. APPARENTLY THERE IS A STANDARD DEFECT IN ALL DURANGOS REGARDING SEALS FOR THE TRANSMISSION. ALL THE RINGS HAVE TO BE REPLACED WHICH REQUIRES PULLING OUT THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION. I RARELY DRIVE MY VEHICLE, MAYBE A FEW TIMES A WEEK. TO THE STORE ETC. SEEMS TO ME THAT SINCE DODGE IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION THEN THEY SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING TO HELP FIX THEM. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AFTER 31,000 MILES. BEING AN R/T I PAID ALMOST $28,000 FOR IT WHEN IT WAS ALMOST 2 YEARS USED WITH 18,000 MILES ON IT. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE! I READ COMPLAINTS AT CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND SAW THAT I AM NOT ALONE. MY 6 PERSON FAMILY LIVES ON ONE SMALL INCOME. WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FOR SAFETY AND RELIABILITY. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF IT AND DRIVE IT VERY LITTLE. WE CAN NOT AFFORD THIS EXPENSE. I DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WE CAN COME UP WITH THE MONEY TO FIX THIS. AND THE FACT THAT DODGE KNOWS ABOUT THIS COMMON PROBLEM MAKES IT EVEN WORSE! *JB
I WAS DRIVING MY 2000 DODGE DURANGO ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT WHEN MY VEHICLE START MAKING A NOTICEABLE SOUND. IT SOUNDED LIKE I HAD FLAT TIRE OR SOMETHING WAS STUCK IN THE WHEEL AREA. I LOOKED AND SEARCHED UNDER THE VEHICLE BUT COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE. MY FIANCEE, SISTER AND FRIEND WERE IN THE VEHICLE AND COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WAS WRONG. WE WERE QUITE SCARED AND DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG. FOR THREE DAYS MY CAR MADE THE SAME UNTIL MY MECHANIC WAS AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 29TH. THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM A BUSTED BALL JOINT/BEARING. IT WAS VERY NEAR OFF COLLAPSING THE WHEEL AND FRONT END. WHAT STUCK IN MY MIND WAS THE MECHANIC AT THE TIME SAID, THAT I WAS EXTREMELY FORTUNATE THAT I BROUGHT MY CAR IN WHEN I DID BECAUSE THE "WHOLE AXLE COULD HAVE BROKEN AND FALLEN OFF." I WAS QUITE SCARED AND RELIEVED, OBVIOUSLY. WELL, ALMOST $600 LATER AND I FIND OUT THAT THIS ALL COULC HAVE BEEN AVERTED BY DODGE NOTIFYING CAR OWNERS.

WHILE PULLING INTO AN INTERSECTION VEHICLE MADE A LOUD CRUNCHING SOUND. CONSUMER PULLED OVER, AND NOTICED THAT DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WHEEL HAD ALMOST COME OFF. *AK THE LEFT FRONT AXLE BROKE. MECHANIC RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE HUB AND BEARING, STEERING KNUCKLE, ABS SENSOR, FRONT BRAKE AND CALIPER PINS. HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT 41,000 MILES ON OUR 2000 DODGE DURANGO. AROUND 30,000 MILES THE SUV'S RPM'S WOULD FLUCTUATE AND STALL AT STOPS. IT WOULD DO IT SPURATICALLY, YET BASICALLY DAILY. THE PLACE WHERE WE HAD IT SERVICED SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BEFORE THEY COULD FIX IT. SINCE THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN ALL OF THE TIME THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT DUPLICATE IT. ON ONE OCCASSION THE SUV STALLED AND WE IMMEDIATELY DROVE IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THEY DID TELL US THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN ISSUED ABOUT THE COMPUTER NEEDING REPROGRAMMED BECAUSE OF HIGH RPM'S WHILE IDLING. SO THEY REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER. THAT LASTED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND WE WERE CALLING THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGAIN. THIS TIME THEY SAID THEY COULD REPROGRAM THE COMPUTER AGAIN BUT WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE US $60.00 DO IT. FEELING THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS WE DID NOT HAVE IT DONE. IT WAS SHORTLY AFTER THAT MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE DURANGO AND IT QUIT WORKING THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WE WERE NOTIFIED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD AND THEY HAD TRIED TO REBUILD IT BUT THAT DID NOT WORK SO THEY WERE PUTTING A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION IN THE 2000 DURANGO WITH 41,000 MILES. LUCKILY WE HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRENTEE AND ONLY HAD TO PAY $50.00 TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. WE HAD CONTACTED DAMLIER CHRYSLER AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE SITUATION AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR COMPANY THEY ACTED AS IF THEY DID NOT CARE. WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE, DRIVERS SIDE SHOULDER SEATBELT BOLT JUST FELL OUT, WE HAD THE REAR A/C MOTOR REPLACED, THE A/C UNIT ITSELF DOES NOT GET COLD WHICH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STILL HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT, THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO GEAR HARD SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO FLOOR IT TO GET THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO REVERSE, AND THERE ARE OTHER THINGS. IF WE HAD DONE OUR RESEARCH BEFORE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE WE WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT.

DURANGO FAILS TO UP SHIFT AT REDLINE FROM FIRST GEAR TO SECOND, WHEN GEAR SELECTOR IS IN DRIVE. ENGINE HITS REV LIMITER REPEATEDLY. TOOK TO SUBURBAN CHRYSLER (SAINT PAUL), WHERE I WAS TOLD THIS IS NORMAL OPERATION. I AGREE THE ENGINE SHOULD HAVE A REV LIMITER IF THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T SHIFT (MY COMPLAINT). NOT ONLY DID SUBURBAN CHRYSLER (SAINT PAUL) WASTE A WHOLE DAY OF HAVING MY DURANGO, THEY USED A HALF A TANK A GAS AND PUT OVER A HUNDRED MILES ON IT JUST TO TELL ME "THERE IS NO PROBLEM." EVERY CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED HAD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (AND I HAVE WORKED ON A FEW MYSELF), AND HAVE NEVER FAILED TO SHIFT AT REDLINE (THOSE CARS HAD 100 TIMES THE MILEAGE, THAT MY DURANGO HAS). WHEN I PICKED UP MY DURANGO NOT ONLY WAS I PISSED THEY USED IT ALL DAY AND COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHUT THE HOOD ALL THE WAY WHEN THEY WERE DONE. I HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE FREEWAY TO CLOSE THE HOOD PROPERLY (IT WAS BOUNCING ON THE SAFETY CATCH). I COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER WHO TOLD ME TO VISIT ANOTHER DEALER. THE DEALER CHECKED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL FLUID NEEDED TO BE CHANGED DUE TO THE VISCOSITY BEING WEAK AND RECOMMENDED THAT IT BE CHANGED AND ADDITIVE BE DONE. UPON FINDING THIS OUT THEY ALSO SAID THAT THIS FLUID WOULD HAVE TO BE CHANGED EVERY 30,000 MILES. MY COST FOR THIS PROBLEM WAS $400.00.
