Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 4500/5500, 2010-2011 Dodge Dakota, 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger, 2010-2015 Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and 2010-2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
Fix: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 4, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V01.

Additionally, Chrysler is recalling certain 2009-2010 RAM 4500 Cab Chassis, RAM 5500 Cab Chassis, RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Charger vehicles ever registered in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia or "Zone B." Chrysler is also recalling certain 2009 RAM 3500, RAM 2500, RAM 4500 Cab Chassis, RAM 5500 Cab Chassis, Dodge Durango, Chrysler Aspen, RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Charger vehicles ever registered in the states of Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these passenger air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
Fix: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began February 28, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U03.
AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Dodge Charger vehicles manufactured May 6, 2010, to June 5, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the side impact sensor calibrations may be overly sensitive, and as a result, the side air bag inflatable curtains and seat air bags may unexpectedly deploy and the seat belt pre-tensioners may activate.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the Occupant Restraint Control module calibration, free of charge. The recall began on August 25, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R35.

AIR BAGS
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, and Dodge Charger vehicles manufactured April 11, 2011, through December 14, 2011. The affected vehicles may have improperly sized terminal crimps on the seat side-airbag wiring harness which may cause the seat side-airbags to malfunction and illuminate the airbag warning light.
Fix: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace both driver and passenger seat airbag wiring harnesses, free of charge. The recall began on April 22, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N07.

Your knee airbags deployed during a crash and caused severe lacerations to both shins, exposing bone and requiring five surgeries, skin grafts, and a five-day hospital stay. The airbags, which are designed to protect you, inflicted extensive soft tissue damage to your lower legs instead. Addressing this issue would likely require Dodge to investigate the airbag deployment force and padding design to prevent similar injuries in future vehicles.

Your car has experienced multiple issues after recall repairs: the ABS module is now faulty even though the ABS wiring was recalled and replaced, the airbag clock spring has failed despite an airbag recall, and the fuel pump has stopped working and needs replacement despite being under extended warranty. THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED FOUR AIR BAG RECALL CAMPAIGNS, BUT IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WITHIN ONE MONTH OF PURCHASING MY VEHICLE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON AND AFTER BRINGING THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER 3 TIMES IT HAS STILL NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THEN MY EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT AND MY ABS LIGHT RANDOMLY STARTED COMING ON. I BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY SAID THEY HAD TO ORDER A PART. THEY "THINK IT IS ELECTRICAL" AND WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PART CAME IN. TWO MONTHS LATER...NO PHONE CALL FROM THE DEALER. MY CAR WOULD NOT START TWO TIMES SINCE THE LAST VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WALKED INTO THE DEALER TO SHOW THEM THAT THIS LARGE LIGHT WITH AN ELECTRICAL SIGN AND BATTERY FLASHED ON AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START JUST 15 MINUTES AGO. THE SERVICE MANAGER WENT OUT TO MY VEHICLE AND SAID MY ABS IS NOT WORKING. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER THIS MORNING. AMONG THE ABOVE ISSUES THERE IS NOW A HEADLIGHT SAFETY ISSUE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 13V118000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. CUTOFF TRAFFIC TRAVELING EASTBOUND APPARENTLY DID NOT SEE ME IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE IMPACTED WITH MY VEHICLE 2011 DODGE CHARGER. SPEED: APPROXIMATELY 45-50 MPH DAMAGE: UPON IMPACT VEHICLE SPUN RIGHT HIT THE CURB AND LANDED WITHIN CENTIMETERS OF A LIGHT POLE DRIVER (HAS PICTURES AS PROOF). RESULTS: COMPLETE DISABLED VEHICLE MAJOR FRONT END DAMAGE. SAFETY CONCERNS: DRIVER WAS WEARING A SEATBELT HOWEVER THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT.
